good and she was glad that Ronnie had good taste in alcohol.

A thick brown skin woman was walking towards her and Rachel tried to look behind her to see if Ronnie was close. She must have heard the bartender wrong again.

"I'm Ronnie," the woman said, her voice husky, "and you must be Rachel."

"I think there's been a mistake." Rachel was not looking for a woman and Ronnie's picture had definitely been male.

"No mistake at all, baby girl," the woman cooed, "I've been looking forward to meeting you ever since you responded to my message." She moved in closer to Rachel, causing Rachel to move back in her seat. "You're even more attractive than your picture. I'm so glad that we can spend the night together."

"I was expecting a man," Rachel said, trying not to sound freaked out at the turn of events. "Even my profile stated that I was looking for a male companion. I'm strictly dickly."

Ronnie seemed to have already considered this excuse. "You haven't spent time with me yet, baby. I can do everything a man can do and more."

“No offense, but I'm not into fucking females.”

“Bitch, fuck you then. Tear yo' ass up outta here. You stupid bitch!”

One more left. She didn't like how her odds were looking at this point.

    ***

Robert was local, which put Rachel a bit more at ease, and suggested the place to meet.

There's a little BBQ place on 20th and MLK that I like to go to. I thought you might like it too, if you like soul food.

Actually, the restaurant was only a few blocks away from Rachel's work and she ordered out from there frequently for lunch if she was ever tied up at the office. Their rice and beef tips were her favorite and she was excited to sit in the actual restaurant and eat her food.

She arrived about fifteen minutes early, too excited to wait any longer than that. The hostess recognized her immediately and asked if she was dining in or ordering out. Rachel asked to dine in and the woman looked completely ecstatic with the idea. From what Rachel had seen the few times she passed by on her way home from work, there weren't that many diners during the day and the restaurant seemed to live off of the deliveries and take out orders they received. There was nothing wrong with the inside of the restaurant, if anything, it looked almost as though it had opened yesterday. The booths were large and nothing was worn or faded from too many people sitting in it. It felt like a nice change of pace for Rachel to sit at one of the small tables and wait to have her order taken and she hoped to find some time after work to come in again, even if it was just her.

"Is this seat taken?" a gentle but firm voice asked, jolting her out of her thoughts. Rachel looked up and into the most handsome man she had ever seen was smiling down at her.

"No it's not. I was saving it for you, Robert."

Robert sat himself across from her, a goofy looking grin on his face. Rachel internally thanked God for looking out for her because he looked exactly like his profile picture. He was a little taller than she imagined, but at least he didn't tower over her like Richard did.

“Relieved?” Robert asked, his eyes lighting up with
