really fast, and I couldn’t find my way back to camp. I running around frantically trying to find my way back when I heard something growl… it looked like a big dog to my innocent eyes, but it was actually a wolf. I tried running, but I guess I wasn’t fast enough… It pounced on me, and my screams are what alerted my father to my location. He had a shotgun, so he came running, firing in the air trying to scare off the beast, but by the time he got to me, it was too late.”

My heart went out to him. It was never his choice. He never had a chance, the poor man.

“It wasn’t until much later when I came to know of the full effects of the bite,” he said.

I couldn’t help but notice the interrogator was looking at him as if she didn’t believe anything he had just said.

“So is it true that you draw some kind of power from moonlight?” she asked. Vincent just looked at her without saying anything.

“I’ll take your silence to be a yes,” she said passively. “How many innocent lives have you claimed, Vincent? How many people did you feel were in the wrong place at the wrong time like Lou Jameson was?” I looked at the screen and saw Vincent’s blank look. He was not going to answer this one either. The interrogator, who I had come to notice had long, flowing blond hair, turned to look at me.

“Do you know what your loyal girlfriend here did, Vincent?” I looked up at her and wondered what she was up to.

“She went behind your back trying to get a job as an actress. And I insist behind your back because knowing you, I don’t really think you would be for the idea of her working seeing as you decided to do away with your butler just because he was getting to close to her. I mean talk about jealousy…” She never got to finish what she was saying.

“I knew all about that,” Vincent said, cutting her short.

I looked at the screen and saw Vincent had his no nonsense look on, but in his eyes, I could see the exhaustion. Probably from all the electric shock and dehydration. Oh my God, dehydration. Had they showed him the same courtesy they had shown to me and given him breakfast? Water? Anything? I was worried, and I didn’t know if the guards, the woman, or even Vincent knew this.

The interrogator looked at him and raised an eyebrow before she turned her attention to me. I was still deep in thought wondering what state Vincent was in.

“Well?” She asked snapping me back to reality.

“What?” I asked as I looked at her.

“He said that he knew all about you trying to score an acting job,” she said. I shrugged. There was no question there, really.

“Well he did,” I said matter-of-factly.

I could tell by the way she was looking at me that she didn’t really believe me, but I didn’t really care. This was one of the facts I was proud of knowing about, and she was going to know it.

“We talked about it, and he was okay with it,” I said eager to rub her face in it. The interrogator feigned surprise as she looked at me and then at the screen. I could tell that she was trying hard to concoct a new lie or something.

“Since you claim to be so okay with everything, did he know that you were contacted by Gloria Darling?” She asked. I rolled my eyes.

“Yes, as a matter of fact, he did,” I said almost too proudly.

Her questions were slowly turning to be irrelevant as time went by. I didn’t know what Gloria contacting me had to do with this interrogation…or whatever this was. It was not like Vincent would have killed her in a jealous rage or anything. I wasn’t gay, and Vincent knew that…

“So, did he know and then you told him or did he know because you told him?” She asked. I looked at the screen and then turned my attention back to the interrogator.

“Why does that even matter?” I asked, looking at her.

“Oh it matters all right, Winnie. See, that little detail makes all the
