difference in the world,” she pointed out.

I looked at her and frowned. Whatever she was saying did not make any sense. For all I cared, she could have been putting together random words just to see what got to us the most. If ever there was a moment to cross my arms on my chest, it was right at that moment. I shook my head and then shrugged.

“I don’t understand what you are driving at,” I said. I would love to drive back n forth on your damn face, I thought as I looked at her.

“Baby, she is trying to insinuate that I killed that acting agent,” Vincent said. I looked at the screen and then at the woman and shook my head.

“That’s not true!” I said as I looked at her. “You have no idea where she is, so you think you can just pin her murder on him? He didn’t do it!” I was hysterical.

I looked at Vincent again and shook my head. I was very sure that he did not kill Gloria, and if they had found her dead body somewhere, then it was most definitely not Vincent’s doing. It could have been some other monster raising havoc in the town for all I cared. Not my Vincent.

“You see Winnie, I cannot just take your word for the gospel truth. That is the main predicament I am facing here,” the interrogator said. “The thing is that you and I know two very different people,” she added. I rolled my eyes again.

“So you must understand that when I ask you when exactly Vincent came to know about your dealings with Gloria, it is just to determine a timeline. Because given the Vincent Muse I know, then I can totally understand how he would be angry, maybe even jealous. I actually wouldn’t blame him for being vengeful,” she said in the same annoying cynical voice that she had been using ever since I first heard her talk.

“Stop it!” I wanted to say bitch, but somehow I could not help but thinking that she would make Vincent pay for my catty tongue.

“And if he did, it would be because he had to and not for any other reason,” I felt myself get even angrier when the interrogator forced out a sarcastic laugh that echoed around in the room.

“Whoa, Winnie! With that kind of defense, then I am sure that that monstrous wolf could kill anyone and get away with it as far as you are concerned.” I was staring daggers at her.

“You know, as long as he can convince you that he killed the person for the greater good or self-defense… or whatever the hell kind of bullshit he manages to pull out of his ass!” I looked at her, breathing hard. I had even forgotten about the breakfast I had been offered earlier.

“Did you ever think that maybe there was something else out there? That maybe there is a sadistic wannabe somewhere in Hollywood looking to raise hell?” I suddenly said.

I wasn’t very sure where all this confidence was coming from. The woman smiled and flipped her long luxurious hair over her shoulder. She had a sick smile on her face as she looked at me.

“You are so naïve,” she said as she looked at me. I rolled my eyes.

    “I am not naïve.”

“Really? Because you seem to believe every little lie that Vincent tells,” she said. I shook my head.

“I’m not lying!” Vincent said loudly.

“He’s not lying,” I said in a small voice.

There was a long silence before she finally spoke.

“Well, see Winnie, unlike you, I’m not so easily convinced.” I looked up at her and wondered what kind of bullshit she was going to come up with this time around. “And I think wolfy here killed Gloria.” She looked at me and flashed me a sick smile. “And I think he did it because he was angry with her for trying to recruit you behind his back.” I was shaking my head.

“Definitely not out of some twisted moral code you claim he lives by.” She looked at me and then looked at Vincent. “So, Mr. Muse. What do you have to say for yourself? Why did you have to murder an innocent woman simply for doing
