she said as she opened one of the doors. She looked at him as they got into her room and closed the door behind them.
“Wow,” he said as he looked around.
“What? Don’t you like it?” she asked. Taylor shook his head and laughed.
“No, it’s not that. I love it,” he said. “It’s like your own apartment inside the apartment,” he said as he looked around. Her room did not just have a bed. She had a beautiful window seat, a lovely rug that matched the drapes, and her bed was more than just a place to lay her head. The room was a sanctuary.
“I needed a place I could just relax and feel good about myself. I didn’t have enough money for my own apartment but I could afford this. So I did,” she said as she took a seat on the bed.
“You definitely made it work,” he said as he joined her on the bed. He put an arm around her shoulder and held her close. “You okay?” he asked looking down at her. She nodded.
“Thanks for being here,” she said in a low voice.
“I will always be here for as long as you need me,” he said. She looked up at him and smiled.
“Why did you say that? Do you think there will ever be a time when I won’t need you?” she asked. Taylor shrugged.
“It’s the way of life,” he said. She looked into his eyes and felt her heart go out to him when he said that. She pulled him down and kissed his lips. She loved the magical feeling that went through her body every time their lips touched. A far cry from the kiss Leon had tried to force on her.
“I will always need you,” she said when she pulled away. He smiled at her and kissed her again.
“That’s good to know,” he said in a low voice. She smiled.
“Why?” she asked as she felt her cheeks flushing.
“Because Desiree, I think I am falling in love with you,” he said in a whisper. In a way, she loved the way those words made her feel. She had not been the first to say it, yet she had been feeling the exact same way for some time.
“I think I am falling in love with you too, Ericson,” she said smiling at him. He brought his head down and kissed her again. “And that scares me,” she said as she closed her eyes.
“Why would something as beautiful as being in love scare you?” he asked, looking down at her.
“Because I don’t have a very good track record as far as falling in love is concerned. I always get hurt,” she said. Taylor pulled himself away from her and looked into her eyes.
“Listen, I am also scarred as far as love is concerned, but I would be a fool to ever do anything that would make me lose you,” he said. Desiree smiled. This was the first time he was opening up, though not entirely, about his life. She smiled up at him and kissed him again.
“I’d hate to lose you too,” she said softly. She smiled as he kissed her again. This time the kiss seemed to search her deeply. She moaned softly as he slipped an arm around her, pulling her closer and closer as he gently forced his tongue inside her mouth. She let a moan escape her lips when she felt his hand underneath her shirt, softly caressing her. She hated that after an entire week of being with him, her body still ached for him. Though she had spent five days with him, the last two days had been entirely sex free. He pulled away from her and moved towards the foot of the bed. She looked at him as he pulled her down using her legs.
    “Taylor…”
“No talking,” he said, cutting her short as he pulled her calf-length skirt off. He then quickly pulled her panties off and threw them on the floor. He put a hand on either knee and spread them. She noticed a smile play on his lips as he looked at her pussy. She loved the way he always seemed to marvel at her nudity every time he saw her naked. She let out a moan as he slowly caressed her soft inside thigh.
“Taylor, I hate to ruin the moment, but I’m still sore,” she said in a whisper.
“We don’t have to have sex to make love,” he said in a whisper. Desiree was not sure
