Chapter Two
    THE WAY THE ELEVATOR DOORS parted was not unlike a velvet curtain opening to a grand movie premiere. By the time he stepped into the hallway on the twenty-fifth floor at the prestigious Sierra Towers in Los Angeles, Ryder had his plan in place. The question wasn’t if he and Cora were going to have sex, the only variable was how well he was going to perform, and that really wasn’t a variable.
