might not even be eighteen yet, but they all acted like they were in a trance somehow.
“Are you local?” Nolan asked as he got near her.
Her perfume made him tingle when she leaned in close. “I’m everywhere and anywhere that you want me.”
He handed her a business card, and she slid a flash drive in his jeans pocket farthest away and slowly dragged her fingers over his crotch. “For you… My warriors must win! Set the harem girls free, and we’ll be your sex slaves forever.”
As she moved onto the next guy, Nolan tried to shake off her seductive powers. He had a woman and hot men waiting for him. They knew and wanted him. This was all a stunt to sell some game.
Of course, if this many young guys were trailing after her, they’d try the game at least. So Nolan had to learn it, and be able to talk about it with guys who came in. The attraction was just that, hormones.
All he wanted from her, really, was the game, but a few more giveaways couldn’t hurt. Giveaways and bonuses kept customers coming back to the Lounge.
He followed the cougar. “What’s your name?”
She shook her head. The men started to push at Nolan. “You already got yours!”
“I just wanted a demo of the game. Where’s the booth?” Nolan focused on the business. It wasn’t the woman he wanted. Right?
“Follow me.” She headed to the lines of booths set up for the attendees to enjoy.
The men shoved to be closer as she slid into the booth. Sitting at a computer, she activated a huge monitor on the back of the booth. The game had sexy and very scantily clad women, bowing and dancing for the players. The men grabbed goodies from the table that separated them from the cougar.
Nolan watched the excellent graphics as an evil ugly man snatched the women one by one from the quaint village town. One from her own bed! “It can accommodate multi players in questing groups. You never know where your women have been taken. You can pick various settings for your quests, from jungles to deserts, and it can be historically set, modern day, or futuristic. It’s all online, and updates are added weekly,” she announced.
Looking around for another person manning the booth to talk to, Nolan saw no one. Grabbing some tokens for a free quest add on, he pocketed them. Men would go for this game, joining together to get the girls. He’d watched her set the program to the public version. Adult content warnings were all over. So how far it went was anyone’s guess.
    “There he is!” Kurt shouted.
“What?” Nolan left the booth to meet the guys to avoid a shoving match with the group.
“What are you doing? It’s almost one o’clock.” Julius shook his head.
Nolan rubbed his eyes. He’d only just found this game half an hour ago, tops! “It can’t be.” He checked his watch. Five after one.
    “Did you eat?” Kurt asked.
“No, I got caught up. This game could be a big seller. I needed to check it out.” He patted his pocket. “Sorry. Let’s go. I’ll grab something.”
“No biggie, but Daphne was worried. Good thing we’ve got your phone GPS’d with ours.” Julius put an arm around Nolan’s shoulders.
Nolan rubbed his eyes more. “Damn hotels. Dry air. I feel like I need a nap or something.”
“Food will help!” Kurt led the way as they headed for the common area devoid of event booths.
“I hope so. I’d better not be coming down with anything.” Nolan suddenly felt thirsty and starved for food and sex. Probably just all those harem graphics tempting him, but that was the sign of a good game! He needed to load it and try it out ASAP!

Daphne watched Nolan carefully at dinner. Julius and Kurt had found her in the afternoon panels and mentioned they were concerned. She didn’t want to set Elvis off, but the vibe had certainly changed. Nolan was only talking about the new video game. She’d heard several other young guy gamers chattering on about it as well.
The vibe at the convention also worried her.
