mumbled and collapsed onto my bed. I threw a shoe at him to get him out and he didn’t even flinch.
“I have a new job,” I said, still smiling.
“So do I,” he replied with a grand gesture. “Hence the celebrations.”
    “Doing what?”
    “Lawyering.” He laughed.
“Who would hire you? You haven’t even finished college.”
“Well, I have. I was taking extra courses.”
I didn’t know that. “And who for?”
“Some man named Zeke. Who will pay me a shitload of money.”
I stopped and looked at him. It couldn’t be the same man, could it? “Do you know what he does?”
“Yeah, he’s bad news. But for the money, hell, I’d sell him my first-born. Speaking of that. I bought us a house. We can finally move out of our parents’ home.”
“What? Hold on, you just switched from new job to new house. What else are you on?” I asked because it was definitely more than alcohol.
“Some coke, possibly? Anyway, we move in tomorrow.”
“I have work tomorrow night,” I told him and turned my back to him. He didn’t know and it was best to keep it that way.
“Oh yeah, Dominic mentioned you work for him now. What exactly is it that you’re doing?” he asked standing up and walking my way. I didn’t want to tell him, but I also didn’t keep secrets from my brother. He was one of the only people that knew everything about me.
    “Just stuff,” I replied dryly.
“What kind of stuff, Aria?” he dug. He knew I’d tell him. So I told him the half-truth.
“I find out tomorrow, that’s when I actually start.” His head dropped. He knew I was hiding something, and he also knew I would tell him eventually.
“I know you can handle yourself, just be careful,” he said on his way out and shut my door.
I was excited for tomorrow night, I felt giddy. I wanted to do this, I knew it was wrong, but I was also partially wrong, so perhaps it would be good.

    Chapter 5
The day dragged on, I felt like it would never end. When there was a knock on the door, I bounced down the stairs with excitement. Jagger got there first and opened the door for Sarena. My muscles were sore from my workout today. If they weren’t, I would have gotten there first, instead of watching the way these two were eye fucking each other. And, of course, Sarena was hardly wearing any clothes and had her dazzling smile on.
“Aria,” she said finally greeting me looking past my brother.
“You two working together tonight?” Jagger said, still eye-fucking Sarena, which she loved. I should have told him what she does, how she loves to hurt men.
“Yes, now we have to go,” I said and pushed past him. I took Sarena’s hand and dragged her out the door.
“He’s fine,” she said waving her hands.
“Where are we going tonight?” I changed the subject, not wanting to hear about my brother.
“Oh, we are going to a club, silly.” She slid into her snazzy sports car and I followed her and took a seat. She drove off just as I shut the door.
The car ride was not what I expected. I thought she’d tell me about what the plans were for tonight. That didn’t happen. Instead, she only talked about her hairdresser and how she fucked up her hair.
“What am I doing?” I asked as we were waved through security. I wasn’t dressed like most women, with a tight dress and heels. I had flats and a skirt with a rocker top on. Sarena turned to me and pushed my breasts out and pulled my top down to show more cleavage like she had showing.
“You’re here to pick up. Make sure he doesn’t have a lot of friends with him,” she said and slaps me on the ass and tells me to get lucky. I don’t think she meant fucking lucky.
She left and I was standing alone, looking into the crowd. I headed straight to the bar thinking that was the best place to find a lonely man. That was exactly what I did find within a minute of standing there. The first one was not attractive; actually he made me want to vomit. I shooed him away, literally. When
