glare to Tristan as he walked into the room and sat across from me. Tobias didn’t even bother sitting; instead he crossed his arms and leaned against the doorway. I assume it was to keep me from getting any ideas of trying to take off again.
“So, now what? Don’t tell me you guys want to put some dresses on and have a tea party.”
Tobias looked less than amused but my comment succeeded in getting a laugh out of Tristan. At least I knew who the fun one was. Since the whole idea of clones is extremely unlikely I assume the two of them are twins. Really hot twins. Like, strip me down and fuck me now, hot twins.
I shifted uncomfortably for a moment suddenly self-conscious about that thought. An hour ago I'd seen one of them commit murder; now I’m eye-fucking them from across the room? What the hell is wrong with me?
“Jesus Christ!” I jump out of my seat as if it were on fire.
Either my eyes were playing tricks on me or the fuck me twins weren’t the only double in this house. The woman from earlier who had her neck snapped had just walked into the room.
“You were dead. I watched you die. He killed you.”
I kicked myself for letting my voice crack as I practically yelled at the woman. She looked annoyed with me and rolled her eyes before completely ignoring me and sitting on Tristan’s lap instead.
      “She can’t die.”
“What do you mean she can’t die?” That was a joke right?
“I mean what I said. She can’t die.” Was Tobias always this grumpy, or did someone piss in his Cornflakes this morning.
“None of us can, actually. So do me a favor blueberry, don’t try to stab one of us in the middle of the night. We can get pretty ugly when we’re mad.”
“Speak for Yourself. I’m sexy all the time.”
This was crazy. Not one, not two, but three people who allegedly can’t die. Yeah, right. And I’m Mary Poppins. I expected one of them to break and start laughing, but none of them even so much as smiled with a hint that this whole thing was a joke.
“Well, I guess that means I have a way to finally tell you two apart. You’re ugly when you’re angry
”I motioned to Tristan with a wave of my hand, then to Tobias with my other. “-And you’re just ugly.”
Tristan howled with laughter again and I even managed to make the chick on his lap smile. Tobias’s face stayed unchanged but his eyes were locked on mine. My own smile faded as his stare sent chills over my entire body. God was that man sexy as hell, but something about him screamed danger and death.
“Well it’s been fun, but I really got to go.” I stood up and headed for the main hall in hopes that they would let me leave. Fat chance.
Tristan and his woman were cozied up on the couch and didn’t try to stop me but Tobias wouldn’t budge an inch. His body took up nearly the entire door frame. He easily stood at six foot two but it was hard to tell as he slouched against the frame.
      “You’re not going anywhere.”
“You can’t stop me.” I scoffed at his commanding tone.
“I think I’ve made it pretty clear that I can.”
Well, that was true but I wasn’t going to admit it out loud.
“I’m not going to be your sex slave, and unlike Victoria Secret over there, I don’t come back from the dead when you snap my neck, so I don’t make a very good practice dummy for a serial killer either.”
      “I don’t need a sex slave. And I definitely don’t need practice.”
“So you are a serial killer then.” Did he just admit it?
      “Not lately.”
    The fuck?
“What the hell does that mean?”
“It means not lately. Now, I have shit to do. Amelia will show you to your room.”
He didn’t even stay long enough for me to protest; he just turned around and walked away. I assume Amelia is the woman dry humping Tristan on the couch. She seemed a little too busy to be showing me anything so instead I left the room to explore on my own.
