separate?” Fearing for Emilio, and completely confused about her change in feelings, Allie tried to pull her hands away from Emilio’s body – it was impossible. The connection between their bodies was like an extremely strong magnet sticking to a metallic object. No matter how hard she pulled, Allie could not break the bond.
“No worries, mi amorcita. When my magic is working to protect the two of us, your chain’s heat and your body’s channeling of that heat will not hurt me – you see, I am able to make my magic work in connection with your powers, so both of our powers will be twice as strong as when we use them individually.”
Allie’s eyes shot to Emilio’s face when she heard him use the love name – she realized that, after hearing him call her his little love, she felt precious – more protected and safer. She nodded silently, looking at him. “Okay. I’m ready to continue – I think.”
“You think? We’re getting much closer to the Palace. We should be there before morning,” Emilio estimated. With that, he thought of the Faerie Winter Palace and the pair vanished in a silvery puff of smoke.

Shortly after they resumed their trip, three attackers materialized all around them. Emilio glanced at Allie, who nodded back. She felt her chain warming as Emilio sped up. The attackers in front were forced back by the heat radiating from Allie – she saw them being shoved back forcefully, then falling. She became aware of the attacker in back of them trying to separate them, then she heard him emit a high-pitched scream as the heat her chain radiated burned his hands and arms. Looking back, she saw him falling to the Earth as he gazed at his reddened hands.
The next time she and Emilio landed, they were overseas and it was beginning to grow dark. Emilio looked around them and, seeing a British pub nearby, he reversed his charm so they could enter the pub and order food and drink. He chose a table in the open and ordered a hearty meal. When their server brought their plates, Allie realized just how hungry she was – she began quickly eating her meal.
“Why are we sitting in such an open area, Emilio? I feel . . . a bit exposed,” Allie said in a low voice.
“All the better to be seen when – or if   – we are attacked. We’re in friendly territory, by the way. Everyone in this pub is of our race. We’ll be leaving in a minute, so finish up so we can start the final leg of our trip,” Emilio said. As he drank deeply of his beer, four new attackers materialized inside the pub. This time, Allie and Emilio had the support of several faeries within the pub, who all used their powers to repel the attackers.
Allie’s chain heated again, this time, growing hotter than it had ever been before. All four attackers howled as the heat burned their skin and they fell away, vanishing from where they stood. Allie noticed other faeries standing close by, each displaying their particular power or charms – one had begun passing through their table and pushing the attackers away with huge gusts of air. Another faery was blowing a heavy wall of dust toward the door of the pub. When he saw that the attackers had vanished, he stopped blowing and the dust vanished.
“Thank you, everyone. I’d better get this faerie to our final destination. Are you finished eating?” Emilio asked.
“Yes. I’m tired and I’d really like to . . . sleep soon,” Allie said. She gripped Emilio’s arm and shoulder once again. This time, he positioned her with both of her arms around his neck so they stood body-to-body. He placed his hand on her arm and gazed at their connection, magically binding them. They vanished in the now-familiar silvery puff. As they transported, Emilio’s other hand began playing with Allie’s breasts, roaming all over her body.
“Wow, Emilio, this is magic! Making love while traveling? Have you ever heard of the Mile High Club?” Allie asked with a mischievous twinkle in her eyes. Her
