little shits the last time I saw them, leaving a trail of chaos everywhere they were, I was sure the history they’d be known for in our little town. Glad to see they’ve finally wised up and found a place for themselves not only in their brother’s life, but finding a place in the Rage Ryders. If anyone deserved finding a place in a family like them it’s these three men. They never stood a chance at having a good life without having a strong role model in their lives. Thank goodness there’s plenty of them in this amazing MC of men.

Pulling into the clubhouse courtyard and making our way into the garage, I’m in awe. There is a welcoming committee here to meet the newest member of their family, my little girl. She’s going the have so many uncles and aunts to love her, she’s not going to know what to do! It’s been just her and I for so long. The glow that’s on her face just having her dad here makes all of the rough times I’ve had worth it just to see the smile reflected in her eyes even when her mouth isn’t in motion. She’s a lucky little girl, my daughter, what I wouldn’t have done to have a man like Tic as my father.

As Tic places the truck in park, I nearly pee my pants when the door is jerked open and I’m pulled out of my seat by Kid. Kid and I had a very strong relationship before I left, we were almost as inseparable as Tic and I were. When Riley was in the hospital, and he asked me if my Ol’ man knew I was back, I saw the hurt in his eyes which almost destroyed me. He was the brother I never had and always wanted. For him to be holding me in his arms and giving me this hug, it’s like I’m home and accepted into my world again. I feel safe, in this place, with my family of heart and choice, I feel a sense of peace that has been missing from my life for nearly four years now. I hope my father pays miserably for taking this away from me.

“Don’t hurt my Momma! Let her go! Daddy! Make him stop, he’s hurting my mom!”
Lila screams, I look at her in shock over my shoulder. Then I realize, it’s because I’m crying. She thinks I’m hurting; she doesn’t realize in her young mind that it’s tears of joy running down my cheeks not tears of pain.

“Baby girl, Momma’s alright, I promise. I’m crying because this is my best friend, I haven’t seen him in a long time. Lila, meet your uncle Kid, Kid this is mine and Tic’s daughter – Lila Rose. The best thing that’s ever happened to me outside of this family and Tic.”

Kid lets me go and goes to Tic who’s holding Lila in his arms. He takes his knuckles of his right hand and runs them down her cheek, wiping her tears away in the process.

“Hello beautiful Lila Rose, it’s a pleasure to finally get to meet you. I’ve always wanted a niece before. You have a lot of aunts and uncles here who’ve missed you and would love to get the chance ta love ya. I didn’t mean to scare you, little one. I’ve just missed your ma.”

My little Lila who’s intimidated by most strangers leans from her daddy’s arms and reaches for her uncle Kid.

“I’ve always wanted an Uncle before. Can you take me for soma icea cream and to the park?” She loudly whispers in his ear, causing a big smile to form on Kid’s face.

“Uh ya, what kinda uncle would I be if I didn’t get ya ice cream and take ya to slide down the slides and push ya on the swings. Let’s get ya settled in and maybe in the next day or two you and I can have an Uncle Kid, Aunt Riley and little one day. How’s that sound?”

Her eyes light up and she squeals in delight…Then she squeezes her nose and looks at her dad and asks “What’s an aunt Riley?”

We all bust out laughing at my adorable little girl and Tic walks over to Riley, who looks to be recovering nicely, even though I can still tell she’s in some pain and introduces his daughter to her aunt. Who might I add, Lila falls in love with instantly. I can
