adult toys, catalogs and a huge
order that should have made her ecstatic. But she wasn’t thrilled.
She was lonely and her loneliness had everything to do with those
two sexy strangers not being here with her.

“ So, why have you not asked if Jewel is married?” Jaxie
commented.
    The
three of them had stopped at her car in the restaurant parking lot
and she was busy digging around in her little black purse for her
car keys when Adam noticed a cute little grin on her face. Damn,
she was already onto them about their interest in Jewel.
“ Because she’s wearing a wedding ring.” Carson
answered.
    Jaxie
rolled her eyes, laughed, dragged out her keys and a moment later
popped open her trunk. She grabbed Adam’s leather jacket and handed
it to him. Awareness pummelled him as he caught Jewel’s delicate
woman scent. She smelled of vanilla and soap and her own unique
scent. It lingered all over the leather and it flirted with his
senses. It took every ounce of his self-control not to lift his
jacket to his face and bury his nose into her smell.
“ That ring is a decoy. It belonged to her grandmother. She
wears it so guys don’t hit on her. She owns and adult toy store.
The ring keeps creeps away.”
    Heat
from Carson’s stare made Adam dare not to glance at his friend,
because he knew what he would see.
    Excitement. Desperation. Need.
    Those
emotions hummed through his own blood. Just knowing that Jewel was
available made his balls pull up tight with arousal and his cock
stiffen painfully. Dozens of questions about the cute blonde began
to dance in his head. Now that he knew she wasn’t married, he
wanted to know more about her. Where did she grow up? Did she have
siblings? Was she into ménages? And why didn’t she want guys asking
her out?
“ Why does she not want guys hitting on her?” Carson asked the
question Adam had just been thinking as they followed her to the
driver’s side.
    Had his
friend not been standing where Jaxie could see them, Adam would
have kicked him in the ass good and hard. They had agreed a long
time ago that they would steer clear of any woman Jaxie knew. She
was well known for having a special instinct for getting people
into a ménage relationships and he recognized that matchmaking
twinkle in her eyes. She wanted to hook them up with Jewel. Not
that he would mind, actually.
“ She’s been burned by an ex-boyfriend,” Jaxie
admitted.
    A sudden
surge of rage burned through Adam. Why would anyone hurt
her?
“ She’s shy about getting back into the swing of things. I bet
if she knew you two guys were signing up for the Bring Your Own
Toys Ménage night, she’d toss her name into the ring with hopes of
getting the key to your room.”
    Damn , Jaxie . Sneaky woman .
    The
thought of being with Jewel in a ménage, inserting toys or their
cocks into her pussy and ass, watching the pleasure flood her face,
had Adam swallowing at his suddenly dry throat.
“ What if she doesn’t pick our key and ends up with some other
guys?” Carson asked.
“ Now, that’s a chance you will all have to take. That’s the
beauty of the Key Club and being in the hands of fate. You never
know who you’ll be paired with.”
    Fate,
huh. He’d heard rumors that some of Jaxie’s pick a key for her
themed ménage nights were rigged and that’s how she connected
people that she wanted together. He wasn’t one to put much stock
into rumors, but in this case, he wondered if they were true. There
were just way too many successful ménage relationships going on in
this town.
    Jaxie
climbed into her car, shut her door, and rolled down her
window.
“ Can I give you guys a lift somewhere?” she asked.
“ No, we’ll walk. It’s a nice day for one,” Adam answered.
They’d parked their rig out on the main highway at the local truck
stop. They would need the walk, it would help to ease their
tension.
“ Well, guys I have to run. I have to drop off a couple of pairs
of shoes at the
