different—it wasn’t during the light of day.” When Myka was finished dressing, she went back into the bathroom to fix her makeup and hair. He loved her hair, how it fell softly toward her face as if it were framing a masterpiece.
“You look lovely,” he said, walking toward her and pulling her into his arms. He kissed her so passionately that her knees buckled, and he had to hold her up. “I love the way your body responds to me,” he whispered, holding her tighter. Once he let her go, he looked into her eyes and knew that she was falling just as quickly as he was. “We have to go, baby. Grab your coffee, and then I’ll take you to go get some breakfast.” As they walked out to the truck, he silently prayed that she would like the club and could truly accept him for who he was.
Blake had his arm possessively around her waist as they entered the café. He introduced her to everyone, and they all congratulated her for capturing the killer who had kidnapped her and Kim. Blake smiled when he saw how easily she fit in and was accepted by everyone.
After breakfast, Blake drove her to his club, Intrigue, and helped her out of the truck. “It’s so big, Blake. I had no idea.”
“Seems like I heard you say that last night, too,” he said with a wink.
She smiled and playfully hit him, looking up at him through her lashes. They walked over to a side entrance, and Blake unlocked the door and then punched in a security code. The door led to Blake’s private office, which consisted of a large desk, leather furniture, a bathroom, small kitchen area, and mini bar.
He then walked her out into the main lobby area where the lounge and bar were located. He explained that no one could go past the double doors if they were intoxicated. “Why can’t they?” she asked.
“We always want everyone safe, sweetheart. If you’re drunk you may not remember your safe word, or if you’re the Dom/Master, you may not quit when you should. I have two men stationed here every night, and no one goes through unless they’re OK’d by the bartender. I also have staff—monitors—and you’ll meet them all tonight. They all wear red shirts, so that everyone knows who they are. They watch the cameras that are in that room over there and then are stationed at the various play areas so they can make sure everyone is behaving.”
    “And what if they’re not?”
“Then they are escorted out, and I decide whether they can return or not.”
“Can I ask a stupid question?” she asked, appearing somewhat embarrassed.
“You can ask me any question, Myka, and I’d be angry if you didn’t.”
“What does BDSM mean anyway? I know bondage, but never really knew the other part.”
“That’s an excellent question, baby. I hope that you will always ask when you don’t know something, because I may forget that you’re not used to this lifestyle and just assume that you do know. Okay, the answer to your question. BD stands for bondage and discipline, D/s stands for dominance and submission, and SM stands for sadism and masochism.”
“Do you have to like all of that, or can you just like parts of it?”
“You can just like parts,” he said, smiling. “I don’t like all of it, if that’s what you’re trying to ask. The bondage, you got just a little taste of last night. The discipline—you’ll definitely be getting spanked when you need it. I’m a Dom, so obviously the dominance is me and the submissive is you. Not so much on the sadism or masochism. I don’t want to be hurt, nor do I want to hurt you. I’m thinking you pretty much feel the same way, am I right?”
“That would be correct—Sir,” she said with a giggle.
“I think we should go explore, don’t you? I wanted you to see everything while we’re alone because it will be totally different tonight when everyone’s here.” Blake took her by the hand, and they walked through the double doors.
