chain lay on the ground just a few feet from the door. He shook his head. What was so important someone had to get into his gym?
No cash was ever left on the premises. Even after the shows, he made sure the night’s take went to the bank. And speaking of the bank, his dear wife had been taking the money all along. After each occurrence the funds reappeared after a day or three, but nothing as large as this.
He gritted his teeth. What the heck was she doing giving BJ that type of cash? He didn’t really mind her helping her brother, but she should have mentioned it to him.
It didn’t take long for the police to gather what they needed and by the time his insurance adjuster arrived the first group of wrestlers arrived for the morning workout.
“Don’t tell me you threw Virgil through the door.” Benjamin Douglas grinned, stepping around the broken glass.
“It was tempting, but no.” He glanced toward the parking lot, where Tono was helping the wrestler known as Father Time across the asphalt.
Daniel shoved the chain aside as Father Time approached. “Maybe we should have another go at him.”
Daemond slung his bag on his shoulder. “I heard he’s going over to BJ’s and that he’s on the ticket for Back to the Bricks.”
Moses shook his head. “As if I don’t have enough problems already.” He huffed. “Well, I guess a chat with BJ is inevitable. Who knows? Maybe we can put an end to this feud.”
“Not if you’re still seeing his sister,” Daemond said.
Moses stared at the athletes. Yeah. That was the problem, he was doing more than just seeing Sin; he’d married her.

Sin waited for her brother to end his phone call. In the meantime, she glanced around his office. Things had been a little tough for him since he and Moses dissolved their partnership several months ago. Guilt churned in her stomach. She was the reason why the two no longer spoke.
She twisted her fingers in her lap. She was going to tell her brother the truth. He wouldn’t be very happy with her, either.
BJ hung up the phone and stood. He rounded the desk, engulfing her in a bear hug. “It’s so good to see you. Are you just getting back home?”
“I arrived late last night.”
He touched the skin beneath her eye. “You should’ve stayed in bed a little longer. You’ve got circles.”
“Gee, thanks.”
“I really appreciate the loan. I’ll have it back to you after Saturday.”
She firmed her lips and looked away.
“What? Did this jam you up? Dammit, Sin, I told you not to give it to me if it was going to cause problems.”
“It was taken from the wrong account.”
“Do you need it back?” He reached for the phone.
“No, I’ve taken care of it, but Moses knows about the money.”
He wrinkled his nose. “Why the hell would he know what we’re doing?”
“Because the money came from his account.”
He stared at her for a long moment before he walked over and closed the door. She carefully inhaled and exhaled, counting his steps as he returned to tower over her. Her brother could be a little imposing and right now he was doing his best to intimidate her.
“Did you go to him and ask him for money?”
“No.”
“Then why does he know?”
“I just told you.”
“Are you still seeing him?”
“Do you hear the words coming out of your mouth? You can’t tell me who I can see or not see.”
“I told you he was no good for you.”
Sin leapt to her feet. “So he was good enough to be your partner for five years but not good enough for me?”
“Wrestlers are as bad as rock stars. Who can resist a locker bunny?”
She shook her head and spun on her heel. This was not going the way she intended. There was no sense in talking to him now. He was too upset. “I just wanted to let you know that he knew.”
“You can’t honestly believe you’re the only woman he sleeps with. God, the man would take on three or four a night, and he had some pretty kinky ways too.”
“I’m well aware
