Let’s get her dressed, take her home, and get her cleaned up.”
Cole nodded, and picked up her bra, tossing it to him. Cain helped her dress, careful to gentle his touched. Softness was a long forgotten luxury. He didn’t want to spook her. Even with her height topping out around Five foot-ten, five foot-eleven, he dwarfed her.
“We’ll get you into some female clothing this time,” Cole said.
    Devon tensed.
    “Are you afraid?” Cain said.
“A little. I don’t…this is all new and fast.” She gestured with her hands, sliding off the desk to stand.
Cain exchanged a worried look with Cole.
“Listen, if someone so much as stares too hard I’m going to bust their head wide open. You don’t have to worry anymore. Do you understand that?” Cole leaned back on the balls of his feet and shoved his hands into his pockets.
“I … I’m just not used to this.” She took a shaky breath.
“Well you should start. We aren’t going to treat the future mother of our kids like the other women around this place.” Cain clenched and unclenched his jaw.
Devon had no clue how important she’d become just by joining their family. She might as well have signed her name in blood on a contract. As the mother figure for the new way they wanted to run things she had a huge part to play.

Chapter Three

Silky fabric, slid up her thighs, tickling her skin. She fought against the awareness, threatening to pull her from the dream. It’d been so long since she experienced such decadent sensations. Her nose twitched. The scent of roses greeted her. The wispy tendrils of sleep escaped , and she opened her eyes.
A gasp stuck in her the back of her throat. A large form hovered over her, and the events of the day rushed back full force.
    “Are you awake now, Dev?”
In less than two hours her world had turned on its side. She walked between the two , a zombie going through the motions, as they boxed her in. A delicious sneak peek into the dynamic relationship between two dominant men.
They guided her from the office building to the two-story house within walking distance. The light blue building with white shutters loomed in front of her like a haunted house. It looked great on the outside, but once she entered, their deal would be official. Her gaze darted around as she sought out an exit, only to come up short. The neighborhood appeared deceptively quiet. One call from either man would travel through the team on call like lightning. She didn’t’ want to piss them off. Not when she’d seen the damage they were capable of causing, and they’d been acting so kind.
She’d never seen them this gentle before, wouldn’t have believed them capable of it if she hadn’t been on the receiving end. Cole unlocked the front door and Cain ushered her inside with a hand on the small of her back. They cleared the threshold and she took in the miss-matched furniture. Brown suede, black leather, and end tables and chairs of various dark shades greeted her.
“Welcome to your humble abode.” Cole smirked.
“Let’s give her the tour,” Cain said.
“I’ll warn you , we don’t have any frilly girly crap, but we’ll acquire some for you. Can you cook?” The hopeful expression in Cole’s eyes made her snicker.
“Yes , it used to be a huge passion…before.”
“Thank God! We can do the basics, but it’d be nice to have home cooked meals,” Cain said.
Her stomach plummeted. Did they expect to put her up in some sort ivory tower now? Turn her into a glorifie d homemaker? She balked at the thought. “Will I stay home now?”
“What? No.” Cain shook his head. “You’re damned good at your job. You have a way of setting folks at ease while getting the job done. We need that.”
“When you start getting in the last months that’ll be a different story.” Cole’s words brought back the elephant in the room.
Pregnancy in a world where modern medicine no longer existed frightened her.
