tosses them over onto the bed beside me. Patting me on the head, he smiles down at me.
“You’re always a pleasure. Your money’s on the dresser,” he says in a soft, calm voice. “I’ll see you next week.”
    “Yes Sir.”
Watching him walk to the door, he turns to face me before leaving.
    “ Thanks kitten,” he smiles.
“Anytime Johnny,” I tell him quietly before standing from the bed and moving to perform my ritual.
When I hear the beep of the door while I’m still running the water in the shower, I know Tommy’s date didn’t go as well as I’d hoped.
“Callie?” h e calls out across the room before finding me in the bathroom. “Hey babe,” he says giving me a small smile before kissing me chastely on the lips. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah,” I tell him, watching as he rakes his eyes over my body with appreciation. “Date didn’t go so well?”
“Nah, it was fine,” he starts with a shrug. “She’s a nice enough girl, she just wants a relationship and I don’t. When I told her that, she said she’d have to think about it and call me.”
    “I’m sure she will, Tommy.”
“If she does, she does. What happened to your nipples?” he asks, running the pad of his thumb over my left breast without hesitation.
“Clamps,” I tell him. “I have to wash up. You want to come in?”
“If I get in the shower with you, I’m gonna want to fuck you, Callie,” he says honestly, making me shrug.
“It’s up to you, babe,” I tell him climbing in. “It might do you some good. You’ve been really stressed out lately, Tommy.”
“I’m not going to fuck you to relieve stress, Cal,” he says shaking his head. “I love you. I would never use you like that. The next time I fuck you, it’ll be because you want me, not because you’re throwing me a freebie.”
“Oh shut up,” I swat water at him. “You know it would never be like that with you, Tommy.”
I rest my body against the tile and savor in the hot water running over my sore muscles as I remember the night he and I first met. We’d both been at the same party while we were freshmen in high school. After drinking more beer than anyone should, we’d stumbled into the basement and taken each other’s virginity.
It was sloppy, irresponsible and embarrassing , but we’d gotten better. Sex with him has been the only sex that’s ever meant anything more than a quick thrill or a way to bring in cash. If I ever settled down, I’d always known it would be with Tommy. That being said, I love him way too much to make him wait for me, even though I know he would in a heartbeat. A part of me wonders if that was why he keeps sabotaging all his relationships.
“I do want to sleep with you again tonight if you don’t mind,” he admits from his spot on the sink.
“Sure thing,” I tell him as I rinse the soap from my hair and begin lathering the soap over my body. “Have you been having a hard time sleeping still?”
“Yeah,” he admits while watching me wash myself unashamedly. “I slept for a couple days pretty well, but I don’t know. I couldn’t sleep for shit last night and I was dragging all day today at the clinic.”
Pushing the curtain aside after I shut the water off, I ring the excess water from my hair. He stands to grab me a towel and gently wraps it around my shoulders.
“Thanks,” I smile at him as his eyes contin ue to study my body.
“When did you get this done?” he asks, lightly touching my hood piercing.
“A few day s ago,” I tell him. “You were at work and I was bored. Pretty hot, right?”
“Damn hot, babe,” he admits as he helps me from the shower.  “Your stomach looks better, but I still want you to keep using that cream until it’s completely healed okay?”
“Okay, I will,” I tell him as I dry off and drop the towel onto the floor.
After getting dressed and finishing up my packing, Tommy takes me to dinner at the diner we love downtown.
As we slide into the booth next to each
