put her beneath the covers with him before wrapping himself around her body. He smiled as Madison relaxed and sank bonelessly into him with a sigh.
She now knew how completely she belonged to him and understood she was his mate. Jared wasn’t worried she would run again, largely because he’d taken her past the point of exhaustion and beyond.
He contentedly snuggled his mate. Tomorrow would be soon enough to explain he was a werewolf. Jared frowned into the dark room as he wondered how long it would take to broach the topic of Ethan as their third.
He only hoped his second could be patient.

Chapter Three

“I am not moving, Mr. Gentry,” Madison said firmly, crossing her arms across her chest as she frowned up at the large male glaring down at her.
“Don’t call me Mr. Gentry. There is no way I am leaving you in this neighborhood living in a tenement!”
“This is my home!” Madison exclaimed.
“Your home is with me,” Jared said firmly.
“My home is where I say it is!” Madison said, poking a finger into his chest.
Jared grabbed her hand and leaned down to toss her over his shoulder. “I grow weary of this conversation, mate. We’re going home.”
“Put me down, you hulking bully!” Madison shrieked and then tried to punch him in the kidney.
A hard hand fell on her upturned bottom in retaliation.
“Oww!” Madison yelped; her poor bottom was very tender still from the spanking the night before. Madison was sure she would feel it every time she sat down for a day or two. “That hurt!”
“Don’t provoke me, Madison; your bottom would definitely not appreciate another lesson so soon.”
“That wasn’t a lesson, it was brutality!” Madison groused loudly. In truth, though her bottom was terribly sore, just the thought of being across his knee brought moisture flooding between her thighs and she’d felt the swat he’d just delivered all the way to her core.
She never would have thought she’d respond so fundamentally to such a dominant male. He truly was what his man Ethan called him, Alpha.
Ethan was just as beautiful as Jared, a little shorter but even broader across the chest. His hair was brown with a hint of red, and his eyes were a warm hazel—though his seemed to swirl with amber sometimes too when their eyes met.
Every time he walked into the room he watched her hungrily and an answering throb rose between her legs in response. It was shocking to realize after years of not responding to any man that she was a slut beneath all of her reserve.
“We will discuss what you will and won’t do more once we get home and back on pack lands, Madison. Ethan, you and a few others pack up her things and bring them to the estate.”
Jared carried Madison to his car, the driver opened the back door to the limo, and Jared swung her around to cradle her and stepped into the car with her cuddled to his chest.
Once seated in the back, he turned her so she straddled his lap. “Where is your home, Madison?”
Madison didn’t feel nearly as brave in such close quarters while straddling his thighs. She’d known before she went to sleep the night before that Jared was her future, so she wasn’t sure why she woke so determined to fight him every step of the way.
She knew she belonged to him, Madison felt it in every fiber of her being, but she was determined to ensure he knew it went both ways; if she belonged to him, then he belonged to her too. If she was tying herself to this man forever, she wouldn’t be sharing him.
She glared at him, crossing her arms over her generous chest once again.
    “Madison?” he growled warningly.
As hot as the idea of a spanking was right now, her bottom couldn’t take another one. “Fine! My home is with you, you big bully!”
Jared smiled and kissed her deeply, stroking his tongue alongside hers until she was panting.
He pulled away and pressed his forehead to hers while he calmed himself. “Why must you fight me so, Madison?”
