beneath her chin. Gently, he tipped her head so that he could look down into her features. She lowered her eyes, avoiding his gaze. Her cheeks flushed as her breathing quickened. Chandler smiled slowly, satisfied with his ability to arouse the woman. “You are aroused. I sense it. I see it on your face. You are afraid to meet my gaze for fear I will discover your secret.” He chuckled softly.
She raised one hand and slapped at his fingers, wrenching her chin free of his grasp. “Get out before I scream my head off!”
    “No one will hear.”
A surprised look encompassed her face.
The noise of the club was all too prevalent seeping through the walls of the small room.
The woman released a long sigh. “Look, maybe we can work out some sort of a deal.” She raised her eyes and stared at him. “If you leave now, perhaps we could meet somewhere…maybe grab a cup of coffee.”
Chandler found her statement keenly amusing. He laughed out loud. “I don’t want anything to drink,

. I want to sink between your long legs and make passionate love to you.” He watched as a surprised expression lit her eyes. “I’m a very good lover.”
She swallowed nervously. Her gaze wafted along his body. “I bet you are.”
Chandler cocked one brow at her comment. “I won’t disappoint you.” He raised his hand and trailed his forefinger down her cheek. “I promise you many orgasms.” She surprised him suddenly, stepping out of his grasp so quickly he wondered if he had become too mesmerized by her beauty. He whirled around and grabbed her by the shoulders, drawing her against his chest. “You are quite the vixen.”
She smiled, though the action didn’t reach her eyes. “I’ve never been called a vixen.” She frowned. “And I abhor your attempt at conversation. I have no intention of having sex with you willingly, or otherwise.” She raised her hands and propped them on her hips. “If you don’t leave right now, I’m going to charge you with assault and breaking and entering. You could spend a long time in jail. Is that what you want?”
Chandler pulled her tighter against his chest. Her rebellion to his command intrigued him. “Your words only serve to arouse my lust to a fever pitch.” He smiled. “Should I tell you that you don’t frighten me? Or have you figured that out already?”
A slight smile pulled at her lips.
    He felt her increasing arousal.
Her robe had parted slightly just above her breasts as he pulled her against his chest. His gaze traveled down the supple arch of her throat and onto the rise of her collarbone. He saw the rapid pulse in her neck. He could hear her heart beating rapidly against her ribs, the heightened rush of blood as it surged through her veins.
The urge to sink his fangs into her throat gripped him. Perhaps I should turn her. She would be mine forever, without further argument.

    Chapter Four

He dashed the idea. He had only just met her. Chandler hadn’t fallen in love with her…yet. The thought jarred his insides. A vampire should never fall in love. He gazed down at her. She wasn’t willing to comply with his command. Indeed, she seemed almost immune to his powers of suggestion. But he felt her uncertainty at his actions and a bit of fear. Aside from her initial surprise at finding him in her room, she hadn’t completely given in to the rash of fright he usually instilled in a female. By this time he would have fucked any other wench and taken his leave, sated sexually and feeling overwhelmingly powerful.
Chandler saw little recourse but to bite her neck, take her blood and be done with her. A twinge of regret surged through his insides at the thought. He combed one hand through his hair suddenly, drawing her gaze.
    “I promise. I won’t say a word.”
He realized she had interpreted his action as hesitation. It amused him. Chandler smiled slowly down into her face. “Another woman lied to me once.” Vivid
