was my active imagination fucking with my head.
Marissa looked at me and questioned me with her eyes. I just shrugged my
shoulder and tried to get into the movie. I shot forward when there was a nude
shot of the actor I was crushing on. I was so into that scene it didn’t
register that I was being pelted with buttered popcorn. I turned around to give
him a piece of my mind, but he was asleep. Who the hell goes to the movies and
falls asleep? I looked over at Ty, but he was busy texting on his phone. I
wanted to yell at him to put his phone away, because it was rude and
inconsiderate to those of us who actually wanted to see this highly anticipated
movie. I was just about to open my big mouth when he looked up and smiled at
me. He put his phone away and with his finger he motioned me to turn around. I
glared at him and stuck my tongue out at him. It was childish, but I don’t
care. When I turned around the nude scene was over. I was upset because I
missed that scene because of them.
    I might not have
proof it was them, but I just knew it was. I was finding it very difficult to
concentrate on the movie because my mind was on the hot guy sitting behind me. I
got restless and got up to use the bathroom. I whispered in Marissa’s ear that
I would be right back and made my way down the stairs and into the lobby. I
head straight into the bathroom and walk to the sink and stare at myself in the
mirror. What the hell is wrong with me? He’s just a guy and I don’t even know
him. I splash water on my face and dry it off with a napkin before I head out
the door. I was looking down towards my feet as I was walking back towards the
theater when I collided with a wall or rather someone. I looked up and there he
was, Wyatt looking all sorts of hot and sexy. I licked my lips and his gaze
drops towards them before they find my eyes again. He smiles at me and it takes
my breath away. I couldn’t explain what I was feeling at that moment, but I
knew it was a good feeling. He inched closer to me and whispered, “You smell
incredible.”
    I backed away and
looked him straight in the eye and without thinking I blurted out breathlessly,
“You’re hot!”
    He chuckled and
caressed my lip with his finger. I was anxiously anticipating a kiss. My mouth
watered and I held my breath quietly waiting for the moment when his lips will
touch my lips for the first time, but it never happened. He stepped away and
headed towards the men’s bathroom. I was confused at the moment. I was positive
he was going to kiss me and then nothing…nada…zilch. What the hell just
happened here? Is he trying to play hard to get? Here I was wanting him to kiss
me and then annoyed that he didn’t. I needed to get out of here before I did
something stupid. I went to get Marissa so that we can get the hell out of
there before I made a complete and utter fool of myself over a guy I knew
nothing about. When I made it back to Marissa, she was awfully cozy with Ty. He
was sitting in my seat whispering in her ear and she was blushing. They both
looked at me when I made my way towards the seat. Marissa took one look at me
and grabbed our purses and my bag from Target. She said good bye to Ty and
grabbed my elbow and lead me out of the theater.
    “What happened,
Rebel? You look distraught.”
    “I’ll tell you when
we get back to your place, okay?”
    “Sure, let’s go.” We
headed back to Marissa’s apartment and the minute she closed the door to her
place she hit me with questions.
    “What happened?”
    “I ran into Wyatt coming
out of the restroom.”
    “I figured that,
now spill the whole story.”
    I told her
everything that happened, including the almost kiss. She stared at me for a
moment and then she said, “Oh shit, you like this guy.”
    “I don’t even know
him. How can I like him?”
    “Reby, you’re
attracted to him. I’m sorry to say this my friend, but attraction is the
equivalent of liking someone.”
    “Dammit, I was
afraid of that. I
