    She smiled and something flipped in his heart. “I’m happy there was the mix up on Halloween, and I ended up with you and not your brother. Sometimes, things are meant to be.”
    Braylon dipped his head and ate the first piece of candy off her stomach. “Not as happy as I am. Maybe it was no trick of fate. I think that you might just be the best Halloween treat I’ve ever had.  You’re what I need for the long, cold winter nights ahead.”
    She smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck to yank him in for a lengthy, sweet kiss.
