again and again.
I’m so hot. Parts of me scream to be touched. It’s hard to be quiet, hard not to beg him for what I want. I press my eyes closed and bite my lip shut as he kisses my breast. His hand slips down my thigh, resting at the point where my legs meet.
My eyes fly open, and we watch each other. I’m breathing hard, trying not to make a sound when he strokes a finger over me. I can’t keep quiet. I cry out, calling his name.
He grins. “There’s my girl. Stop trying to be someone you’re not. If you’re into it and say things—beg, talk dirty, or whatever—I like that. I want to be with you, with Mari, with the woman who is all passion and promise. Don’t hide her from me, okay?”
I nod and keep my gaze locked on his. He touches my face, gently pushing curls away from my eyes. He leans in and kisses me once more, before reaching for his jeans. He unbuttons them and slides them off quickly, tossing them to the floor. His boxers fall next, and soon, it’s just us, skin on skin.
I let myself feel and love him the way I want. I don’t worry about what I sound like or what he thinks. Trystan encourages me to take what I want, so I do. My timidity vanishes and, for the first time, we’re together. I feel him inside me, as he presses against me, slowly until I can’t stand it anymore. I feel wound too tightly, and every inch of me is on fire.
We’re slick with sweat, and our bodies fit perfectly together. He pushes into me harder, faster. He’s losing control, and I want to see his face. I want to watch those beautiful blue eyes flip from lusty to sated.
His hair is damp and sways as he rocks. My nails dig into his back as I try to hold us together, tighter. I thought I could outlast him, but I can’t. The pulsing within me begins, releasing waves of lust. They wash over me, again and again, bringing Trystan to his climax.
I open my eyes and see the expression on his face. I watch as he loses himself in me and makes me his.

    CHAPTER 5
    MARI
T he next morning, I’m smiling so much that I look like an idiot, but I can’t help it. Nothing could ruin this feeling. It’s light and carefree. It fills me with sunshine from head to toe. Every bit of me is happy and in love.
I grab my books and head down the hallway. I live on the third floor of an older dorm at the back of campus. Trystan left late last night, slipping out the window and running before anyone saw him. I know it’s a matter of time until people find out how serious we are, but not having a roommate makes it last longer.
As I skip down the steps of the stairwell, I call Katie. She answers, “You suck. It’s summer. Some of us need beauty sleep.” She yawns and stretches, dropping her phone on the floor. I hear her swear and pick it back up.
The connection is sucky. I keep getting static, but it’s good enough. Besides, if I have to keep this to myself all day, I’ll explode like a piñata. “Katie! Guess what I did? Guess what? You’ll never guess?”
She’s quiet for a second and then her tone changes. “You did not.” She squeals and I hear her bed squeak as she sits up. “You nailed Trystan!”
A mad blush spreads across my face. “Yes!” I’m too excited, so we both squee together.
    “Details! I need them now!”
“Later, I promise. I need to get to class, but there’s no way I could hold this in all day.” I throw open the door leading outside and hear Katie laughing.
“Give me one little detail, Mari! Come on! Don’t leave a girl hanging!”
I giggle and whirl around, throwing my arms out and letting my backpack swing around with me. The momentum makes it hard to stop.
When I do, I press the phone to my ear and say, “He’s beautiful! Everything about him is completely and totally perfect. Be jealous. Very. Jealous.”
I’m still giggling when I look up and see Dad. He’s leaning against the Bentley, his arms folded across his chest. His eyes are wrong, devoid of emotion, red.
