him at all, my pet. He risks much coming here and warning us.” He stepped up to her hand, placed a kiss on her cheek. Before he turned, his attention was on Morris. “Dred, Rock, why don’t you escort Beth to where she was going earlier, while I have a nice chat with Morris?” He pushed her behind him.
Once the door to the room was closed, he rushed Morris as soon as he stood. He slammed him back on the ground. “You ever come into my home and threaten what is mine again, I’ll personally destroy your clan. As it is, you are now on restriction. You and your clan have ten years to prove to me why I shouldn’t destroy your sorry asses.”
Before he let Morris go, he opened the man’s vein and drank. There wouldn’t be a move the man made that he wouldn’t know about now. Jumping off of him, Edward scanned the room. “You have seen my queen’s father. You know who he is. Spread the word, because if anyone questions her again, I won’t warn them. Drake, Terk, make sure Morris and his men leave the premises. Also inform the House of Skinfold, they have now taken Morris’ rank. I give them the land to the East of here to set up their families.”
Taking a deep breath, Edward made his way to the boardroom with Andrew. “Set up a meeting with Tran and Rand Skinfold. Also, you are now my personal assistant, so move your things to Avril’s office.”

The limo rolled down the highway towards her old home. She’d only been there one other time since mating with Edward and right now she needed the comfort of her personal sanctum.
After leaving the hall, Beth had made her way back to their private quarters where she changed into comfortable clothes. Both Dred and Rock watched her every move, but hardly said a word to her.
“Why didn’t you sell your home?” Dred asked, sitting across from her, drawing her out of the fog that had surrounded her since seeing her father. Rock sat on her right side, his hand behind her head, as she stared out the window.
She cocked her head to the side and stared at Dred. “Do you really want to know? Is it a threat to you two or Edward?”
He leaned forward and took her hand into his. “We really want to know and no, it’s not a threat to us. We want to know everything about you Beth.” He lifted her hand and kissed every finger before placing a kiss in the middle of her palm. “We love you, Little Witch, and want to understand the need you have for this place.”
She shrugged. “It’s just important to me. Every time I start to bring it up to Edward, something or someone needs him.” Beth leaned her head on the window and looked out at the passing houses. “Did you know I have an older brother?”
They both shook their heads. “Where is he? How come he hasn’t been to the castle?” Dred squeezed her hand.
“You wouldn’t want him there. I know I don’t.” She shook for a minute, remembering how scared she had been as a child. “When I was ten, my father and brother had what you could call a falling out. Well actually, a huge fight. I never saw him again. Oh, I heard the whispers.” She looked up at Rock and smiled.
“It seems my brother likes to dabble in the black arts. His name is whispered among many in this world. Everyone’s afraid that if they say his name, he’ll show up. Giles de Rais the second is what they call him in Europe. Of course that’s not his real name. Brian Giles is his formal name.” Pulling her hand out of Dred’s she rubbed her arms trying to get warm.
“I blocked out most of my early years with anything to deal with him. From what I can remember, my brother had an evil streak, even as a child. He broke my arm twice and my leg once before I was six. Pets disappeared and even friends were afraid to come over and visit.” She ran her hand over her thigh. When it rained, the bone sometime still hurt.
“Anyway, my father and mother found my brother in the basement with me tied down on an old table. I guess that was
