forever my dear, remember… ” and with those last words he was gone, the darkness swallowing him up. She could still feel him through and knew he would not go far. In fact, she felt he would watch her every move that night, as he had many other nights. There was something different though, she could feel it in the air as she moved to lie beside of Adam on the bed. All the windows were open and the breeze coming in held the hint of rain. It was comforting to her. She didn’t have much time before dawn, so gathering Adam to her, she moved as quickly as possible . She meant to leave him at the parks center, because it was the best place to go in guaranteeing that he would be found and helped…As she drove, her thoughts were tumbling inside of her on what she was going to do. She wasn’t even certain she would go back to the coven, but then, even if she did not Raven would surely come looking for her.
She couldn’t deny that there was something there for him inside of her; she felt it and she knew he felt it. In fact, she had been pushing those feelings away for a very long time, but now, she thought it might be the very moment where she really needed to release them. He needed to know how he made her feel but he also needed to understand she was not his to own, vampire or no vampire. That was a human quality that she had kept and she was glad she had.
She felt she was almost lying to herself about who she really was. The deceit that she was covering up was almost too much for one person to bear as well. She was all too aware that Raven knew about some of her actions that were against the coven code, but he didn’t know about all of them. He had no idea that she had been interacting with the humans for quite some time, not just looking at them as a way to fill her hunger. Adam hadn’t been the first who had intrigued her. There had been others, she simply had avoided them. She had a fear deep inside of her that if Raven found out about how tormented she really was he would force her into decisions that she didn’t want to make. Well, the reality was she wasn’t ready to make those choices.
As she stood now, hidden by the woods surrounding them, she looked at Adam lying on the ground by her. She knelt over him, allowing her fingers to lazily drift across his brow and down the side of his face. They trailed down his twist, grazing across his manhood. Though her heart no longer beat like a human beings, she still felt those same longings, the same feelings that humans felt. After all, she hadn’t been a vampire all her life, which was part of her problem. She’d held on to the human emotions, letting them dictate to her and almost control her at every turn. Raven, on the other hand was driven by pure need and lust. She was certain that there was a part of him that wanted more from her than her body, but he’d never said so. One thing she knew for a fact. Even vampires wanted a mate. They longed for someone to share the centuries with. Some of them stayed with their creators, while others, like herself, drifted away, trying to explore and figure it all out on their own.
Adam stirred on the ground, and a couple of people just happened to be strolling by in that very instant. She dropped, covering his body with her own, and plac ed her lips upon his. She kissed him with every emotion she was feeling in her body at that moment . Though his response was faint, she still thrilled to the movement of his tongue against hers. She couldn’t refrain herself from biting him once more and drinking his blood. It was like the sweetest nectar to her now vanquished soul. Somehow, someway, s he felt that this would make it appear they were just two people out in the night making out under the moon. She didn’t even want to fathom what would happen if someone happened upon
