this hurt so much? Maybe it was because I never really saw him with another girl. I had only found out he was cheating on me through the high school grapevine; I had never really caught him in the act.
"Kris?" Lena asked. I didn't look at her. "What are you...ooooh." She must have followed my gaze. She took my arm and pulled me back to the table. "You okay?"
"I don't know," I whispered. I finally broke my stare and turned to Lena. "I should be fine...so why the hell do I feel like this?"
"Maybe because you loved him?" Lena said. "And still do...a bit?"
I shook my head. I suddenly didn't feel like staying there anymore. I also didn't want to go home. Lena seemed to know what I was thinking. She tapped Sam on the shoulder and asked her something.
"You want to stay at my place tonight, Kris?" Sam asked.
    "Uh...yeah," I answered.
I couldn't stay at Lena's place because her mom didn't like me much. She thinks that I turned her perfect little girl into a hooker, when, in fact, Lena was the one who told me to start dressing to show off my body. Sam and I, along with Darla and Amanda, all left. Erin and Lena were going to join us later. They were the ones who needed permission to do a lot of things, but Amanda's parents were fine with her just calling them. Everyone had a few articles of clothing at everyone else's houses, so none of us had to go to our houses to get things.
    "So...what happened?" Amanda asked.
    "I saw David...with a girl," I revealed.
"Oh, my God!" Sam nearly squealed. "Sweetie, how are you?"
    "I'm fine; a bit sad," I replied.
The rest of the night was spent watching movies and playing Truth or Dare, which ended when Darla and I actually agreed to run through the streets, naked, yelling for someone to do us. We got half way out of our clothes while standing in Sam's driveway before the others told us not to go and Amanda said she was just joking.
The other girls fell asleep before I did; I stayed up wondering if I should tell Henry about Lauren and David or let him find out on his own. The main question was, if I told him, would be believe me?

CHAPTER FOUR

IT TURNED OUT that I didn't have to tell Henry; by the time the weekend was over and Monday came, half the school knew about David and Lauren's make-out session at the club. It was weird, but almost everywhere I went, people were whispering. I hated it! I didn't know if they were talking about me or not, but it annoyed the hell out of me. To top it off, Henry blamed me for what happened. I have no clue why, but he came stomping up to me and said it was essentially my fault. When I demanded an answer, he didn't give me one, but just walked away.
"Can this get any worse?" I asked.
"Look on the plus side: at least he's not trying to get you back anymore," Lukas said.
    I kicked him.
"Just...don't talk, sweetie," Amanda advised him.
By the time Wednesday rolled around, I was a moody bitch and snapped at everyone but Lena.
"Your behavior is a frequent disruption to this school, Miss Williams." Also, I was stuck in the principal's office-I practically lived in those beat up green chairs lately. Mr. Coughlan was sitting in his chair facing me. "What are we going to do to solve this problem?"
    "Expel me?" I guessed.
"If only I could, Miss Williams," Mr. Coughlan sighed. There was a knock on the door and both of us looked to see Henry and the history teacher, Mr. Burnham. "Mr. Wilson, to what do we owe the pleasure of your company, this time?"
"Fighting in class," Mr. Burnham explained.
Henry sat down in the other seat and the teacher left.
"You two are the biggest troublemakers we've had this year," Mr. Coughlan said, tapping his fingers on his desk.
"What about Jesse Stevens?" I countered. Jesse was Darla's older brother. He graduated last year, to the surprise of...everyone. He had pulled pranks like there was no tomorrow.
"This year," Mr. Coughlan reminded me. "You two have detention for 30 minutes after school every day this week. And..."
    "And?"
