like it . . . a lot.
I can’t help but to hope that he spots me out in the crowd. For some reason, I want him to know that I’m here and to see his reaction to me showing up to watch him.
Another guy comes on next, instead of Styx, so I get up from my seat and walk over to order us a couple more drinks and two cherry bombs to waste some time.
A very tall, cute, security guard walks over and offers to carry my drinks for me when he notices me struggling.
“I got it, gorgeous.” He grabs the drinks and smiles down at me. “Where you headed?”
“Over there.” I point to where Mandy is practically standing to get a better view of the stage. “Thanks . . .” I stop and search for his name.
“Kage. And not a problem. Cale would kick my ass if I didn’t offer to help a beautiful woman with her drinks.”
He winks and then motions for me to walk first, then he sets the drinks down for us and smiles, before walking away.
“He’s good looking too,” Mandy points out. “This place is full of hot guys. Why have we not come here before?”
“Because the hospital is exhausting,” I point out. “Plus, I’m not sure what the hospital would think of their nurses partying it up at the strip club, waving cash at half-naked men. Then showing up for our shift, hungover and still fantasizing about the eye candy we saw the night before.”
She laughs. “That does sound bad. Maybe we should keep this private. I’m not even telling Kayla about this because she has a huge mouth.”
“Oh, we’re definitely keeping this between the two of us. Kayla is the last person who should find out. She’d run to that uptight bitch and have her on our asses, watching us even harder than she already does.”
“Oh God. I’d have to find a new job then. Let’s forget out the hospital and just enjoy before my excitement gets stomped out by thoughts of them.”
We’ve been here for thirty minutes now and Stone is now leaving the stage.
Excitement courses through me at the idea that Styx could be next. I only saw three men on that flyer. Styx, Stone and Kash and we’ve already seen the other two.
The next song comes on so I sit up straight and grab my drink, prepared to see Styx comes out, looking sexy and tempting.
I’m a little disappointed when the other two guys walk out instead and start dancing on the main floor as if the individual shows are over for the night.
“Where’s this Styx guy you were talking about? Is it his night off or something?”
I let out a breath of disappointment and grab my drink, about ready to get up and drop it off at the bar to leave. “Maybe it is. Crap!”
Mandy’s eyes shift to behind me and go wide when a pair of hands grip my waist. “Maybe not.”
Quickly, I turn around to see Styx standing behind me, dressed in a pair of ripped up, faded jeans and a white tee, hugging his firm chest. “Couldn’t get enough of me?”
A smile takes over as I watch him watching me. He looks extremely amused. “Thought I would catch a show and see what you’re made of.” I set my drink down and grab my purse. “Guess I picked a bad night.”
He smirks and grips my hip when I try to walk away. “Or maybe you picked a good one.”
Before I get a chance to respond, he grabs my hand and begins pulling me through the crowd. Girls grab at him from everywhere, screaming and going crazy, but he ignores them, stopping when we get to a hallway with private rooms.
“What about Mandy? I can’t just leave her out there by herself.”
“Kage is keeping her busy for the next twenty minutes.” He lifts a brow and smiles. “You wanted to see what I’m made of, right? Now’s your chance.” He leans in close to my ear, his breath hitting my skin. “Unless you think you can’t handle it. It’s okay if you can’t. A lot of women lose it behind these doors.”
I nod my head in response, unable to form words that won’t sound stupid at the moment.
Opening the door to the private room, he guides
