sitting in the club alone. He probably thought I was some square.
“You don’t look like you’re having fun,” he said as we sat down simultaneously.
“I’ve just been at school all day, and I would much rather be at home sleep,” I replied honestly.
“But then you wouldn’t have met me,” he said surprising me. Was he flirting with me? Was the Cassian really flirting with me? I wondered.
    “True,” I giggled nervously.
“So let me get that number you promised me,” he grinned and pulled out his phone. I read off my number to him, and he shot me a text so that I’d have his. This was probably his hoe phone number.
“How old are you? Damn, what’s your name?” he asked and we laughed together.
    “I’m Josalyn and I'm twenty-one,” I chuckled.
“That’s a good age. Enjoy it before you get old like me,” he shook his head jokingly.
“How old are you?” I asked as if I didn’t know.
    “I’m twenty-four,” he answered.
“Oh yeah, grandpa status,” I taunted.
“You got jokes huh? A’ight then,” he nodded slowly as I snickered. “So do you have a man hiding in the corners, watching you anywhere?” he raised a brow and I shook my head no. “Wow, a beautiful girl like you? You must be lying,” he frowned.
“No, I swear. I haven’t had a boyfriend for two years,” I responded and then immediately regretted it. Great job Josalyn, now he knows there are cobwebs down there , I thought.
    “Word, why n-”
“Cassian, you want another drink daddy?” some scantily clad woman asked him as she licked her full lips.
“Nah, I’m good for now,” he half smiled and then turned back to me. She gave me a nasty look, and then switched off.
“I forgot you have groupies,” I said feeling disappointed.
Cassian was not my type of guy. He was a big superstar with a lot of women chasing him, and I didn’t like that. I’d seen plenty of chicks fighting over him on Instagram. Bitches would be fighting and shit on social media, saying he was their man. I wouldn’t dare be a part of no bullshit like that. I wasn’t the type to fight for a man no matter who it was. The only man you may catch me fighting for is my husband, but a boyfriend, you can have him.
“Yeah, I’m sure you got them too,” he said.
“Why would I have groupies?” I inquired smiling.
“Because you’re sexy as hell and I know how niggas are; shit, I am one. I know they come after you like a pack of dogs,” he replied. He thinks I’m sexy! I squealed on the inside.
“Maybe,” I smirked and so did he.
“So can I take you back to my crib?” he asked. I knew he had an ulterior motive.
“What? No! I don’t even know you!” I yelled over the club music and frowned at him. He burst into laughter and then looked at me with his mouth open. He was so damn cute.
“I’m fucking with you, girl. Damn! You was about to put the paws on me,” he laughed even harder.
“Oh,” I blushed because I was slightly embarrassed at how I reacted.
“But I’m happy you ain’t a bop,” he said licking his lips and scanning my body.
“Never,” I said shaking my head. I sipped what was left of Zooey’s cocktail because I was nervous.
“Well, it was nice meeting you Josalyn. I’m gonna go mingle with my folks, but I will be waiting to hear from you about that cleaner’s bill,” he smiled and grabbed my hand. I didn’t want him to leave.
“Okay,” was all I could say as I watched him lift my hand to his soft lips.
I wanted him to trail from my hand up to my neck. I wasn’t a hoe by any means, I just hadn’t had any male attention in years. Stop Josalyn, you’re acting like a groupie , I told myself. Tonight was turning out to be fun after all.

    Chapter Three: Andi

It was getting close to one in the morning, and I was ready to go home with Hollis. I only came to this club for one thing, and it was already accomplished so it was time to clock out.
Finally, he stood up and reached his hand down to
