he didn’t need to. Instead he lifted her hand and kissed her knuckles, his shadowed stubble rasping across her skin.
Damn. Every look and every touch had her wanting so much more, and she was a mass of quivering nerves and contradictions. Nerves made that much worse when the headlights picked out her homestead with its high verandah and white-railed stairs. Behind the house, a sweeping gum tree concealed four rainwater tanks—all but one was dry—while the darkness inside the stockmen’s quarters revealed they were empty.
She closed her eyes and took a calming breath. There would be no one else around to sidetrack her, no one to keep her from going ahead with the threesome that would have seemed preposterous even a few days ago. Having sex with just one amazingly gorgeous man had seemed almost out of her reach, let alone two.
Brandon parked the ute near the front fence and cut the engine and its lights. A full moon took away much of the gloom. But it was the sudden silence that magnified her need, her pulse a loud swish-swish in her ears, her breath rasping in and out.
One of the station’s kelpies managed a half-hearted bark. Adam released a shuddering sigh, before he slid out of the passenger seat with too much grace for a man so tall, let alone one injured.
Brandon caught her hand before she followed the bull rider. ‘I know you trust me,’ he murmured, ‘but I want you to know you can trust Adam too.’
She nodded, any trace of lingering fear receding as adrenaline poured through her veins. She swung out of the ute on suddenly unsteady legs, and Adam took her arm as she swayed.
‘Too much champagne?’ he teased, shrewd enough to know she wasn’t intoxicated from anything alcoholic.
As Brandon rounded the work ute from the driver’s side, she shook her head and conceded, ‘No. Too much virile male.’
Adam’s husky laugh warmed her insides, a warmth that spread as his thumb brushed her arm. ‘You’ll learn to appreciate it.’
‘I’m sure you’re right.’ She cleared her throat and stepped back. She’d always been so in control of her emotions and her body. ‘I’m fine to walk now.’
She strode ahead, feeling sexy in her boots and clinging dress, yet unladylike with her long steps that did plenty of miles around the station. The men seemed only to notice the former. She felt their hot gazes on her the whole way as they followed close behind, her dress hitching high as she climbed the steps.
‘God help us,’ Adam murmured, causing heat to suffuse her neck, and pool in her belly and womb.
She pushed open the front door—there was no use for locks out here—and stepped inside, flicking on a light before turning to move into the arms of the man she’d wanted for so long.
    Brandon.
His mouth was hot and urgent on hers and as she encircled his neck with her arms, he lifted her up and strode down the short hall that led to the main bedroom. Only when he stepped inside her private room, where moonlight flooded through her insect-screened window, did he allow her to slide down his body before she gained her feet once more.
He made damn sure she felt every inch of his hardness, not least his cock, and she sucked in a strained breath. He was much bigger than even her dreams had dared imagine.
Then Adam was behind her, his own impressive arousal jutting against her lower back in the cage of his jeans.
‘Holy crap,’ she groaned, so turned on she could barely breathe, ‘I can’t believe I’m doing this.’
‘Believe it, baby,’ Adam murmured hoarsely. ‘All your fantasies are about to come true.’
Her fantasies had always been about Brandon, but she was about to get that and a whole lot more with Adam. Two lovers. It was most definitely a dream most women entertained at some stage in their lives.
She felt the tug of her zipper, heard its rasp as it was dragged down. A nanosecond later her dress dropped to the floor and cool air touched her skin. When the men made low, possessive
