I’ll see you around.” She shook his hand again and sat in her car for the next ten minutes trying to calm down and resisting the urge to go back to the big house and simply kill Jared. After her nerves settled she drove home and got on the Internet. Jared may be able to manipulate the local townspeople but his arms couldn’t reach everywhere. Maybe it was time to strike out on her own and Jared’s upcoming nuptial was the kick in the pants she needed.
