time and time again he didn’t fit the typical Cobrini stereotype?
    Dyos also
had to admit Brale’s words badly shook him. He could
still remember the way the Breeder had gracefully fallen to her knees. Dyos knew those impossibly wide green eyes would haunt him
forever if they delivered her to the hands of their suspicious client.
Delivering her to a man like that went beyond his old Hadarian principles.
    Despite her function, there was
decidedly something innocent and pure about her, but then again, Breeders were
created to entice and seduce. They weren’t whores. Far from
it. They were living and much sought after treasures. Terran Breeders lived in walled compounds all their lives,
kept away from the anarchy and chaos Terra had become after the Fall . They trained and prepared for the day they were
purchased by wealthy and high-ranking alien males in search of females who
could bear their offspring.
Would it really be so terrible
taking the female as their third bondmate ?
    Damn
it all. Dyos knew the weakness that beset Brale similarly plagued him, too. They didn’t have to say
the words out loud because they’d already come to a perfect understanding.
They’d already decided they’d no longer return their stolen merchandise. Brale and he were going to keep her and make her theirs,
even if it meant facing hell and risking their lives.
    “Fine. I
guess we have both come to an agreement. It’s time we make our stolen
merchandise ours.”

Chapter Three

Her two new masters were certainly
taking their time.
J-7192, or J, as she liked to call
herself after seeing the name on a corporate logo from the window of her cell
in the Genesis Inc. breeding labs, waited on her knees despite how uncomfortable
it was. The metal floor was hard, and it was chilly in the cabin. She’d like
nothing better than to put on something warm and explore the ship. Years of
training however, made her stay put.
She’d been created and raised in
the main Genesis breeding labs on Terra. J had never been off-planet, and she
wanted to see the rest of the ship or perhaps take a peek out the windows to
see what space looked like.
The contract stated a Hadarian crew purchased her, so she was a little curious
why her new masters came from two opposing warrior races who had been at war with each other for centuries. They clearly had more than a
simple working relationship going on, too, a
relationship she suspected went beyond friendship.
    Were they mates? Curious
indeed.
The door of the corridor slid open
again, and J dropped her eyes again, as was proper. A tingle went down her
spine as the two men drew closer. A large hand lifted up her chin, but there
was no promise of violence there. She looked up to see the dangerous-looking Cobrini peering down at her with apparent interest.
    “My name is Brale ,
and this is my mate, Dyos . Do you have a name,
female?” Brale asked.
    “My designation number is J-7192,
but I am whatever you wish to call me, master.” J watched Brale exchange a glance with Dyos . Gods of the Galaxy,
she’d seen videos and pictures of the two races, but she’d never imagine how
impressive they looked up close.
Brale and Dyos looked like they were bred and created for war.
Both of them reminded her of sturdy, solid, and unyielding hardwood. Their
bodies were made of hard, firm planes of muscle, while their wide broad chest
and shoulders tapered to narrow waists. With those well-defined triceps and
biceps, J didn’t doubt for a second they could kill their enemies with their
bare hands.
    The similarities ended with their
bodies. Dyos’s dark-hair and eyes suited his
sun-kissed skin. Brale by contrast, was pale-skinned,
had short blond hair, and had slitted eyes.
She idly wondered if a combination
of fine and ragged scars also decorated their bare skin underneath their
clothes. The scars were stories she was curious to explore and touch with her
mouth and hands. J couldn’t wait for them to start. Given she
