mine.” He tightened his hold on her wrists. “You’ll never leave me again, and you’ll never allow another man to touch what’s mine. Do you understand?”
“Yes,” she screamed as she climaxed.
“Who do you belong to?” He thrust hard, pulling all the way out and slamming back in.
    “You, and only you.”
“That’s right. Only me.” He felt a tingle in his stomach and then a strong sensation shot straight to his balls. A few seconds later he came fast and deep inside her pussy. He kissed her lips and then released her arms. “Are you okay?”
“Perfect.” She sighed. “Everything is perfect.”
He rolled off her and moved her up to the top of the bed, pulling back the covers and motioning for her to get in. “Do you want me to stay?”
“I want whatever pleases you,” she said as she climbed under the comforter.
“I want you to tell me what you want.” He needed to know what she was feeling. She’d gotten him to exert his dominance over her, but now he needed to know if that was all she’d wanted tonight. If it was he’d listen, but he wasn’t sure he’d like it.
“I want—” She stopped and looked away.
“If you want me to go, I will.” He didn’t want to leave, but he’d do whatever she asked. She held all the power.
“Stay.” She pulled back the sheets. “I need you to hold me.”
A sense of relief came over him. He’d thought about holding her every night for the past two and a half years. He’d messed up when he told her to leave. He was more certain of that tonight than he’d ever been before. He was getting a second chance, and he wasn’t about to fuck it up. He’d follow her lead. What choice did he have?
He crawled into bed and pulled her to his chest, pressing his lips against her hair.
“We need to talk,” he said, “but not tonight. I think we’ve had enough tonight.”
She nodded, but he could feel warm tears fall from her eyes and land on his chest as she quietly shook against him.
“Why are you crying?” He held her tighter. “Please tell me.”
“I’m overwhelmed. I’ve wanted you for such a long time.”
He understood, because he felt a little overwhelmed as well. “I’m here now.”
    “I know.” She sobbed.
“Shh,” he whispered into her hair. “Sleep now. We’ll figure this all out. I promise.”

Chapter 5

Gracie opened her eyes to a dark room. She knew it had to be morning by now, but Cade must have pulled the curtains closed so she could sleep late. She reached out but didn’t feel his body. He’d stayed with her most of the night. She was certain he’d held her while she’d slept. The sheets still held his scent.
She sat up and stretched. Her arms were sore, but nothing too bothersome. She could withstand Martin’s bondage techniques for hours at a time. She got out of bed, slipped on her robe, and went about her morning routine. When she emerged from the bathroom she could smell the strong aroma of coffee make its way down the hall. Her stomach fluttered when she realized Cade was still there.
She found him shirtless and sitting at the kitchen table reading the morning paper. She had missed waking up to him every day.
“Hey,” she said from the doorway.
“Morning, beautiful.” He got up and walked toward her. “Sleep well?”
    She nodded. “You?”
“Yeah.” He smiled and his full, sexy lips caused her heart to skip a beat. “Want a cup of coffee?”
“I can get it.” She kissed his cheek. “Would you like me to make you breakfast?”
“No.” He pushed the hair from her face. “Get your coffee and come sit with me.”
“What’s wrong?” She hadn’t realized it immediately because she was so happy he was still there, but now she saw regret. He didn’t hide his emotions very well.
“Don’t you want to have a cup of coffee before we talk?”
“Forget the coffee,” she yelled. “Tell me what’s wrong.”
“I don’t like making you cry, Gracie. That’s what’s wrong.” He
