device, Storm set it into camera mode and began snapping pictures of the woman’s face and body to record what she looked like when they found her along with the handcuffs. If she was a prisoner, they needed to cover their own hides, but also, if she was a prisoner, she didn’t deserve to be beaten up.
The surprise came when Trey pulled her toward him so his brother could take more pictures and they found the puncture wounds to the neck. Snapping more pictures, the men became more irritated with what they found.
When they were finished Storm handed the camera back to Trey and then mounted his horse. Austin picked the woman up as easily as if he were picking up a bag of feed. He then handed her up to Storm, who sat a bit back in the saddle and sat her in front of him, his arm around her chest to hold her up. The others mounted up and they rode down the mountain.

Philip had nearly reached his prey when he heard the horses arriving so he had to hide behind a large tree a few hundred yards away. He watched them bring up his captive from the ravine and then take pictures of her before setting off. He needed to get those pictures from them and needed to get Lisa away from them for his life now depended on it. Either the cops would get him for his crimes or the mob would kill him. He knew he should have killed her in her apartment and not let lust rule his body.
Chapter Three
The doctor was waiting outside the ranch house on the front porch, sitting in one of the chairs, feet up on the railing, when the small group rode up. Several ranch hands rushed out to take the horses to cool them down and settle them back into their stalls. They knew if Doc was there the bosses would need help. Shock registered on their faces when they saw the woman slumped against Storm, but they quickly gained their composure and went about the tasks at hand.
Austin took Lisa into his arms before Storm dismounted and went up to the porch to greet Doc Anderson. Once Trey had met up with them they all entered the house and Storm motioned for Austin to take her to the only room available, which was their parents’ old room. Neither of the boys had felt it was right to take the room so they had left it as a guest room.
Laying her on the side of the large king-size bed Austin stepped away, letting the doctor have to do an examination. The three men watched anxiously as the man looked her over. The older man didn’t say a word when he saw the cuffs and examined her other wrist. They watched him check the bandage on her left upper arm and find the bullet wound, which had been cleaned. He seemed to be infuriated by the marks from the manacles on her legs. The lump on her head seemed to be a concern, and when the doctor checked her pupils, they noticed her eyes were shaking.
Standing, he shook his head. “I don’t suppose you’ll let me take her into the hospital?”
The three men glanced at each other. They had talked on the way back to the house and came to the conclusion that they all wanted her. It wouldn’t be the first time they had shared a woman, so that wasn’t a problem between them, but they all knew they needed to protect her from whatever demon was trying to hurt her. They knew she belonged with them and she had been a long time coming to them.
Storm stepped forward. “Doc, she has been through a terrible ordeal, and unfortunately we didn’t find the person responsible for this so I think it’s best she stay with us. We can protect her here. Just let us know what we need to get for her.”
“She has a concussion and she needs to remain in bed at least for a couple of days even if she regains consciousness soon. There will be dizziness and possibly vomiting. The pain will be great but no painkillers until her eyes stop jittering. Clean her body gently. I’ll be back in two days to check on her. Trey, you should know what to do with her.”
“Yes sir,” the trio said in unison.
“If you need me, call me any
