erotic moment at the gym, geeze, thinks Jacki blushing looking away.
“Well Jacki, I do understand. I don’t think that you should wait for Ricky to notice you. You know that he’s always busy with las chicas that chase him. I don’t know how he has time to even work,” says Paty laughing, shaking her head.
“I agree with Paty, you have to forget Ricky. Don’t compare the chicos to him. My primo is not the norm,” says Bella grinning. “He was born with extra sex appeal.”
“Si prima, you’re right,” agrees Paty laughing.
“That’s exactly what we decided to do. We will forget the De la Cruz hombres, sorry amigas,” says Jessy smiling.
“No worries, I would do the same,” replies Paty nodding.
“Here comes a chico. Jacki, he’s looking at you,” says Bella smiling.
“Okay, wish me luck,” replies Jacki smiling.
“Hi, do you care to dance?” asks the Chico smiling, extending his mano out. He looks at Jacki waiting for her reply.
“Si, I do,” replies Jacki nodding. She waves to Jessy, Paty, and Bella. Jacki follows the Chico to the dance floor. He holds her at the waist looking over her head.  Jacki places her hands on his arms waiting for him to talk.
“Are you enjoying yourself?” asks the Chico not looking at her, sweating.
“Si, are you?” ask Jacki glancing up to see the Chico sweat and swallow nervously. “Do you come here often?”
“Si I’m enjoying the dance and I do come here with mis amigos on the weekends. I have never seen you here before,” says the Chico taking a quick glance down.
“I don’t usually come out to the clubs,” replies Jacki smiling up at him. Hmmm he’s not very confident, but he’s not really bad. He’s sort of nice looking .
The song ended and the Chico looks quickly at Jacki. “Do you want to dance the next song?” asks the Chico.
“Si that would be nice,” replies Jacki nodding. “What’s your name?”
“My name is Ruben Casas, what’s yours. What do you like to do?” asks Ruben gazing down.
“My name is Jacqueline Cortez. I usually like to read and work out at the gym,” replies Jacki smiling up at him. The song ends and the Chico escort her back to the bar. “Thanks for the dances,” says the Chico before leaving.
She watches him leave and shrugs her shoulders. I think that we didn’t click and he knows it, thinks Jacki.
Jacki takes a drink of her margarita watching Bella and Jessy dance. “So you didn’t like him?” asks Paty watching the Chico leave.
“He’s okay Paty, but we didn’t click. You know what I mean,” replies Jacki nodding.
“Si amiga, yeah I know. It happens all of the time. Sometimes I think why bother,” says Paty taking a drink of her margarita. “But I also know that our príncipe will not come to our casa and knock.”
“No he will not and that’s why I decided to start going out,” says Jacki watching another Chico approach her.  She dances with several chicos all night, but not one was able to catch her interest.
The next morning Jacki wakes up early with anxiety. Oh dios mio. I need to get up. I need to see if Ricky is in his casa. I need to know if he stayed out all night , ponders Jacki taking a quick shower. It doesn’t matter that I stayed up late. I always have to wake up early to go see if he’s home.
Si, I’m always checking up on him. I have been doing this for years. I know that this doesn’t help me to let go. I don’t know when I will stop doing this. I need to let go. I know that he’s not for me , thinks Jacki walking down the street.
She turns the corner and smiles. Oh yeah, my baby is home. Uh, yeah, he’s not my baby. I only needed to know that he didn’t stay out all night. Gracias dios mio, now I can enjoy my day. I know that he goes to the club on Fridays. He goes out on Saturdays and usually with a chica. I know that he doesn’t stay all night. I know that he’s no saint, but it makes me feel better that he does return a casa.
    Jacki returns
