guys are off limits anyway. After the guys eat me and Josey are cleaning up. “How have you been girl?” Josey says while we wash dishes. “I'm good. It’s just weird being back here. I mean the last time I was here I was being a bitch to dad and running off with Spike.” I say handing her a glass. “I remember. But girl that is the past. We are all glad your back.” Josey says and I nod. “Me too. I'm just not sure about my new job. The next old crusty man that touches me I may snap his wrist.” I say laughing. “That’s why you quit.” My dad says as he walks into the kitchen. I turn around to face him. “What are you talking about? I didn’t quit.” I say looking at him. “Yea you did. You just quit this morning.” He says grabbing a beer. “Don’t you start this dad. I needed that job.” I say stomping my foot. “You have a job. You’re our new chef.” He says and walks off. I turn to Josey and she shrugs.
I knock on my dad’s office door. “Come in.” He yells and I walk in. “Hey dad.” I say and sit in the chair in front of his desk. “Hey baby girl. What are you up to?” He says looking through some paperwork. “Nothing. Hey do you think I can use a car? I want to go into town and do some shopping. I need a few girly things. All you damn men around here in t-shirts.” I say playing with one of his pens. “I’ll have one of the guys take you.” He says without looking up. “Really? I'm not a baby.” I say throwing the pen on the desk. “I didn’t say you were. But there are some things going on and until I figure it out you aren’t going alone.” He says still not looking up. “Fine but I want to leave in an hour and don’t send me one of those pansy ass guys either.” I say getting out of the chair. “I’ll have a guy out front in an hour. Just go get yourself ready.” He says and looks up and smiles. I turn to walk out of the room. “I'm glad you’re home Casey.” He says and I turn to face him. “Me too dad.”
I get dressed and grab my purse and my phone and head out front. I stop and talk to Josey a few minutes before I head out of the front door. “Where you off too?” Josey asks me looking at my bag on my arm. “Shopping hopefully. Dad is making me take one of the guys. I say and roll my eyes as I walk to the door. Josey just laughs. I open the door and head outside. “You ready?” Tracker asks me. “You stuck with me today?” I ask him smiling. “Hell no. I have work to do. You’re stuck with Draven.” He says chuckling. “And why is that funny?” I ask looking at him like I missed something. “Oh just because Draven hates shopping. It should be fun. I'm sorry I'm going to miss it.” Tracker says walking over to me and putting his arm around my shoulder. “Go easy on the poor guy.” He says laughing. I look up at him and ask, “Is it that bad?” He nods and walks off. Draven comes walking out of the garage looking damn hot in his patches. He walks over to his bike. “You ready?’ He says trying to hand me a helmet. “Oh no we are not going on that bike. For one I already did my hair and two I have nowhere to put my bags.” I snap at him playing with my hair. The look on his face right now is priceless. He shakes his head and looks around and then back at me. “Sweetheart, I'm a biker. We ride bikes. I'm not rolling around in some girly ass car.” He states looking at me. I give him those puppy dog eyes. He looks at me and actually rolls his eyes and I start laughing. He walks over to a black truck. “Come on princess we wouldn’t want to mess up your god damn hair.” He says holding the truck door open for me. I smile as climb in and settle into the seat. “Glad you find this amusing.” Draven snorts as he climbs in the driver seat. I can’t help but giggle. Draven cuts his eyes at me and that only make me giggle more. He puts the truck in drive and we head out.
“This is the last store damn it.” Draven says as I jump out
