Maybe her new-found need to be a better person was what drew her to him. She sensed his innate goodness, even with his obvious discomfort at helping her. He wasn’t like any man she had met before. He didn’t help her for her own sake, he did it for Susan. That showed a huge amount of respect and loyalty for his friend. Of course, that wasn’t the only thing that attracted her. That amazing body made her sigh, and the fact that he kissed better than all her former lovers put together certainly helped.
So what if he wasn’t all that excited about her thanking him some more. Her efforts to be a better person didn’t include taking no for an answer. She was doing it for him—he just didn’t know it yet. Oh yes , she thought as she slipped into a relaxed sleep filled with sexy dreams. This promised to be so much fun.
Look out, James, because Corey is on a mission .

A cool westerly wind blew several strands of Corey’s untameable hair across her face. She tucked the unruly curls behind her ear while slipping her key in the door with her free hand. Her first dance class didn’t start for a few hours yet, but she planned on getting ready for a special surprise she had in store later on for James. She didn’t even stop to worry about how she could get him to her dance studio. Now that her powers were finally returning she might as well use them for good instead of nastiness. Being a goddess had some advantages, after all, and although it probably wasn’t sporting to use her talents to plant the thought of contacting her in his mind, she promised herself not to use her magic after this. Once he got a taste of how much fun life could be, he’d thank her.
Of course he would. He’d been brought up well. He’d thank her in a mutually satisfying manner. She traced a finger across her bottom lip and relived the moment of his kiss. Explosive came to mind, but such a mild word to describe the moment of contact. They say you have to watch the quiet ones.
They were right.
She daydreamed all the way through the vacuuming and mopping of the dance floor, and couldn’t remember dusting the window ledges and furniture, but an hour later, when she’d lit candles all around the room, the transformation was amazing. Maybe she should kiss a lawyer more often? It seemed like a great way to get the cleaning done. Goodness knows it had taken her long enough to learn how to fend for herself. She used to just wave her hand and it would all be done, but here, in this time, there were no servants, and she hadn’t been able to use her powers—until now. She might be finding her former talents, but she actually liked looking after herself. Dare she say she even liked housework? Weird though the thought was, now that she was regaining her former powers, she wasn’t sure she wanted to use them that much. Besides, she could never tell when some mortal would walk in and catch her in the act. How the heck would she explain that away? These mortals didn’t seem very open-minded when it came to magic, and they certainly weren’t ready to see her using it. Not yet anyway.

After the last class had finally finished, Corey blessed the foresight of having a shower installed at the dance studio. After sliding the mop broom around to touch up the floor, she entered the bathroom, undressed and turned on the water. She sighed as the cool spray ran over her sweat-slicked body. The water started doing its magic.
Thunk.
What was that? She turned the tap off and inclined her head towards the door, but heard nothing more.
Maybe it was the wind, and the anticipation of dancing with James making her jumpy. It shouldn’t because she had no doubt he would be there. The package she’d sent to his office contained an enchanted note planted deep in a box where no one else could touch it. He would come to her, she knew it. Her body tingled at the thought and she smiled at herself in the mirror as she dressed. Her body was looking pretty damn
