say watching her every little move.
“What event, OMG, Alice, and you didn’t tell me? How could you! Where is at, Levi?” Lola asks with a big smile on her face, clearly more exited than Alice.
“Well, as I’ve already said to Alice, the event is tomorrow but I’ve come today because, and I forgot to mention this, the event moved to London.”
The two couldn’t have more different of a reaction. One is happy like it’s her birthday and the other is depressed. Not good, damn.
“Can I come inside, the sun is killing me,” I ask.
“Sure, please, come in. This is our lovely house, where the four of us live,” says Lola with beaming eyes and waving hands. It is a normal house, nothing special but it has a nice feeling to it, a nice vibration. I think it’s normal when four girls live under its roof. Wait, four? I’ve seen only three, so where is the fourth.
“You said four, but I’ve seen only three of you guys. Where is the fourth?” I ask looking straight at Alice but as always, Lola answers the question. Apparently she is not here at the moment, so that’s that.
“Sit, sit, and let me get you a drink, some whiskey, yes?” she says leaving me and Alice alone in the room. I think to myself, isn't it too early for alcohol. Anyway, I can talk with Alice now.
“Hey, nice to see you again,” I tell her with a shy smile. She looks at me through her long lashes, trying to hold my gaze, which she easily does. I move in my seat and wait for her response.
“So do I, but how did you know where to come?” she says breaking the eye contact.
“Actually, it was easy, I just asked Mr.Adams, like a favor, you know, and he happily oblige. I wink at her and she rolls her eyes.
“I found some vodka, sorry, but it’s good anyway. Here take a glass, Levi, and Alice, you want one, no, ok, but I still will be drinking from the bottle,” says Lola with a loud voice. She sits right next to me on the couch, and starts cuddling like I was a huge bear or something.
“What are you doing, Lola, don’t you have no shame?” says Liz entering the room, changed and looking fresh. She is beautiful, like her sister. But I think she is younger. One year I suppose, can’t be more.
“OMG, what is the problem, stop telling me what to do, besides, Levi, tell me, you don’t like it? Don’t tell me you are gay. Well, as good as you are, it is a possibility. I’ve always thought that gay guys look better than straight, I’m I right?”
I move my eyes from Liz to Alice and I can see that this is normal when it comes to Lola, but I imagine that they don’t want me to think of her in this way. Too late for that and in fact I don’t dislike her. I find it pretty entertaining and mood lifting.
“Alice, what do you think, will you come with me to London? Of course the flight and all will be on me,” I tell her trying to convince her with my face expressions.
“I don’t know, it’s to far away, and me all alone just with you, I can’t,” says Alice with a low voice. She looks at me with a sad face, apologizing for her answer.
“Don’t say that, girl. Levi, this is how it will be. If I and the rest of us can go with Alice, then she will accept, ok? And you will pay for it, you seem a rich guy, actually I'm pretty sure you are one, am I right?”
“I am,” I admin without thinking about the fact that now I need to take all of them with me on this trip. “If that is what it takes to make you come with me, then I accept this agreement. Alice, yes?” I ask trying to catch her eyes. She turns at Lola and then to Liz, that is quite excited, maybe she likes the UK, I don’t know. After a couple of seconds of silence,
