was supposed to jump at his sudden appearance. He may have been watching me from a far, but I know when he's around. I would never tell him, but I could always sense him. I know it sounds like a weird thing, but it was true. From the moment we met, I locked in on him, and from the tone of his 'mocking ' he felt the same. "Well hello to you too."
He jumped off the counter and walked over to the sink. "Look at you all dressed up. Do we have a date?" Duh if you've been watching like I know you have, you've seen that I can't even make a frozen dinner without setting the place on fire.
Bam* I socked him right in his arm. How dare he tease me. So what if Tony had to come rescue me, the oven, and the whole building for that matter. "I'll have you know it's just dinner with Kayla and Tony. You seem to forget angels don't usually have to cook." He was always so transparent when it can to his face. But I must admit the 'uh huh' face was my favorite.
He rolled his eyes. Did he just roll his eyes? Someone showed up with their feelings on their sleeve. "I won't hold you up from your date, but I have a message from the Boss. While you're doing great, don't dwell on why you're here." That was vague, even for Aussy. "What do you mean? I thought I was here for Kayla." I honestly thought I was only here because she didn't have a mom, and would need guidance for how busy her dad could be. "Aussy, what exactly am I here for?"
I've never been on the receiving end of his serious stare, but it shocked me to my mortal core. Without blinking or breaking eye contact, his wings extended and his voice deepened, "Mayice I will only say this once, so listen up. You are not in any way to look for the child's mother. That is not your mission!" Mission echoed so loud that I covered my ears and closed my eyes to keep at bay the glow that followed. Without a goodbye, Aussy was gone.

Ring, ding, ring, ding.... I need to learn how to change that ringtone. Tony was calling me probably to see what was taking me so long. I had no idea what to say. "Um hello?"
"Hey, are u okay?"
"Yeah, yeah I'm good. Why?"
"Well it's going on 9 and you said you would be over at 8. I knew you worked earlier so I didn't want to rush you."
"Oh yea I'm just sluggish I guess, I really wasn't paying attention to time. I'm on my way now!"
"Um okay." He hung up but it he sounded like there was more to say. I guess it could wait seeing as I'm only steps away. Needless to say I would spend the night thinking on what Aussy said. Though it sat in the back of my mind, I did wonder how any woman could leave her child, or Tony for that matter.
I have my orders not to look into her but I do have free will right ? I mean I know I shouldn't because he said so, but I could at least find out if she was dead or a live, right? What harm could that be? OMG! I sound so mortal .

Just like that, I was wearing a tan pencil skirt, brown wedges, and a pink top. I ran to the bathroom to take myself in. Cute. "Awww thanks Aussy!" I yelled. I knew he heard me because silver jewelry apparently found its way onto my body. Well I guess I was really ready, even if wasn't a "date".

"Dad said you got lost from your place to ours." I laughed because it probably true with how my mind was racing. Apparently Kayla couldn't help herself either. Once again I couldn't see why her mom left. While Tony cooked and set the table, she showed me inside their apartment and it was nice. Two bedrooms, full of pictures and everything I would think home should be. Their place looked the same as mine just more stuff and obviously there was a lot of love. As we went from room to room then from space to space, I stopped. A picture in the hall had a gorgeous woman holding a baby no more than 1. The baby I knew was Kayla because of her one dimple on her right side of her mouth,
