    Her
eyes lit up, “I can?” Her shoulders slumped and she shook her head. “My people
would not understand.”
    “What

give you what you wanted in a roundabout way.”
    Esral
sort of smiled. “He does love me. Maybe in time. What were you saying about the
vampire males?”
    She
may as well just say it. “Vampires are highly sexual and might try funny
business with you.”
    “By
funny business you mean they’ll want to rut with me?”
    Tanya
nodded and Esral laughed. “It is a normal bodily function. One which highborn
females are denied while the males can run after every village girl they like.”
Her face flushed in anger.
    Tanya
